Let me tell you a story of this Ashraf Thanwi. One day he says he was peeing. Then his older brother came and pissed on his head. Then one day Ashraf Thanwi saw his older brother peeing, so he enacted revenge by doing the same thing (peeing on his brother's head). Then Ashraf's father caught him red handed doing this and punished him. Ashraf tried to explain that his older brother did the same to him before, but his older brother denied, and so only Ashraf was punished because he was caught red handed while his older brother was left off the hook. (Malfoozaat Hakeem ul Ummat v. 4 p.262)

Now this shows the kind of environment that stupid guy (Ashraf Thanwi) grew up in and some of his own admitted bad and disgusting habits. Why should such a ridiculous person be respected as a holy saint of Islam?
      Thanks but no thanks!
We are Simple Muslims, and we don't want to believe in any sectarian crap.
Doesn't matter if the founder of the sect was related to the Prophet(SAW)..
AlhamdUlillah, we believe in Quran and some Ahadith(not all).

Then why you introduced yourself as a Hindustani from Hyderabad if Muslim is your one and only identity?

It's like saying "I'm tall" or "I'm friendly", meant to describe me, not my core identity.

It may be my background or ancestry, but its certainly not my identity. BTW you most likely have Hindu or Buddhist ancestry too, so should I call you a Hindu too? Does it make sense?

Your nation is Hindu and your religion is Qadiani.

What is my nation? If you mean Pakistan is Hindu, then Afghanistan is Hindu, Buddhist, Zoroastrian.

Qadiani isn't a religion its a sect of Islam. But I am not Qadiani, I am Muslim influenced by the Panjpiri maslak

You can still be Muslim and be a Hindustani

Being Muslim doesn't mean you can't belong to a certain ethnicity. There is no such person who is Muslim and only Muslim. That's not how the world operates. Even our prophet (pbuh) was part of a tribal society.

But I am speaking of identity. I am many things, but those are all incidental, yet my identity is Muslim only. There is a crucial difference. Identity means you identify with a certain group and its narrative. Although I am Indian-origin, I do not identify with India, its history, its culture, or its narrative. Similarly, I am a Canadian-born citizen, but I don't identify with Canada, its history, culture or narrative. If someone asks me who I am, I will always say "Muslim", never "Canadian" or "Indian" or "Pakistani" or "Brown" etc.
