Iranians, Afghans, Pakistanis, Indian share ancestors

This is the latest news, basically the people living near the Zagros mountains in Iran were one of the first farmers in the world around 10000 years ago, and they were the ancestors of today's Pakistanis, Afghans, Indians and Iranians

If anyone knows about genetics, these people were the (ANI), which make more then half of south asian ancestry, and up to 80% of Pashtun ancestry

South Asian people descend from two major populations, ANI and ASI, ANI are these people and ASI were similar to the Andamanese (Andaman Islanders)


Iranians of today are more mixed with other populations from West Asia, while Indians are more mixed with ancient ASI, but still we all share significant ancestry.

ASI came from east/south India where it peaks today, before that maybe from south east asia. It moved to north India then punjab/sindh/kpk/fata/Balochistan and in to Afghanistan. We don't know time frame but eastern afghans have 20% ASI. Which keep getting less and less as you move towards west of Afghanistan. Similarly mongloid came from north Asia to central asia and in to Afghanistan.

Pakistanis and Afghans on a whole look pretty similar except that Afghans might be a shade lighter. If Pakistanis have Australoid admixture then Afghans also have East Asian admixture in shape of Hazaras/Usbeks/Turkmans etc. Both these elements are negligible though.
