Whats the matter, why you are trying so hard to prove that Kakars dont look South Asian? You are not even a Kakar. All of the persons in your pictures look South Asian except for Helena Kakar, and judging from her name, she must be mixed race. Moreover Kakars in Afghanistan are dispersed and mixed with others, some are even in Herat.

More than Lohana, its the Kakar tribe to which scholars have attributed Hinduish Indian origin. If Nuhanis are Lohanas of Gujarat and Sindh, then Kakars are khatris of Punjab and India. So must be the case with other Pashtun tribes.

I'm not cherry picking, they are famous kakars not random. And both have indian features, it's not about skin color either. There are also some light skinned kakars, but the ones I posted came up first in google search. Point is I doubt kakars of afghanistan have one particular look, they are diverse.

However, the marwats i posted were not cherrypicked, they were the first ones to pop up and i tried hard to find some Pashtun looking ones but couldn't. That man looks very indian btw, i would mistake him for a Punjabi if i ever saw him.

The closest "Pashtun looking" Marwats i found were these men but even they still look south asian. Look at the fella on the left hand corner;

Most "Euro looking" Pashtuns come from the south like Kandahar, just look at Karzai. But on average Pashtuns are lighter skinned than Tajiks in Afghanistan and will look the same regardless of what region they live in.

The Fact is purer Iranic looking Pashtuns live in Afghanistan and not Pakistan since they are mixed with the local indic population. That's why Kakars or Ghilzai's will look a bit different than their Pakistani counterparts. Even Asad Durrani the ISI head looks more south asian than Pashtun and some guys on here before were picking on him if he really was Pashtun.

There is an Aymaq tribe called Zuri. Apparently many Aymaq tribes have different origins so if they have Pashtun origins that is a very big hint for Ghorids being Pashtun.

Many pakhtuns in sorrounding regions of north also have similar look, chitralis just have more lighter types on average. That look is associated with pakhtuns because many people from those regions migrate to punjab. While someone like Hamid kakar will be like anyother punjabi.

I am not cherry picking. Google images wont suffice? how about any famous documentary about southern Afghanistan?. Lets say "What winning looks like" documentary about Police of Helmand. Following are the screenshots of Pashtun policemen from Helmand (the only disntinctively non-South Asian looking people in this documentary are outsiders, Hazaras and Tajik soldiers of ANA carrying Ahmad Shah Masood flags)

Abdalis/Durranis of Southern Afghanistan dont have blondes , blue/green eyes, extremely rare cases........but British travelers noted that Ghilzais of eastern Afghanistan may have green and blue eyes.....as you go Northward towards Kunar and laghman, even slight blonde hairs begin to appear in the phenotypes of Pashtuns, .....but its not that all of them have such features, majority of them still look "Pashtun" i.e darker wheat-skinned, only some of them exceptionally "Nordic" i.e green blue eyes with brown or dirty blonde hairs. If any one want to know how Pashtuns of Kunar mountians look like, he should watch documentary "ISIL and Taliban" on youtube.....only one girl in the crown of Kids of ISIS-controlled village, has "Aryan" looks. Rest look like what typical Pashtuns look like. These atypical looks have some thing to do with Kafiristanis, the most "European" looking people in South-central asia (not my words but of British officers, check "Notes on Kafiristan" by H.G.Raverty, 1859)

@Kushan Prince has never been to Afghanistan, is brought up in West and can not speak Pashto. Its not surprising that he is claiming Pashtuns to be "Aryans"......this is his western upbringing and insecure side speaking. Pashtuns do not have Aryan looks. They have diverse looks, with more leaning towards South Asia. If you ask Iranian or Tajik, he will clearly tell you that Pashtuns of Afghanistan look different from others in Afghanistan, that they dont look like "Iranics"
