Hindu Caste Talukdar claim Pashtun heritage?

I am Muslim Alhamdulilah, at least 19 generations Muslim, my "caste" in Bangladesh is called Khan Talukdar so we are allegedly (not sure if it's true, don't really care, I am Bengali) descendants of Pakhtuns.

But according to this, Talukdar's were a Hindu Caste of Rajput origins. Rajputs were historical enemies of Pashtuns as we battled with them on the Indian frontiers.
