Were their any famous Pashtun philosophers or mathematicians
Pashtuns unfortunately were mainly illiterate, nomadic people living in tough terrain, mountains and infertile lands before their conversion to Islam and thus no question of philosophers or mathematicians. I am not sure where Ganadhara civilization was Pashtun or otherwise.
After conversion to Islam they became invaders, conquerers, murderers, kings, emperors, soldiers and looters so again no question of higher sciences. However in this period there were few famous authors and poets like Bayazid Ansari and Akhund Darweza and then Rahman Baba and Khushal Baba
After 1979 and conversion of many of Pashtuns to Islamism what now we have are famous Taliban, terrorists and extremists. No globally known philosopher, mathematician, scholar, scientist or intellectual.

I thought it was a real person for a second, and the other guy seemed very negative even though their is some truth to it. Well, let's see what someone else posts.

Byazid Roshan was a great philosopher and intellectual, quite famous. Also wrote the first book in Pashto if I remember correctly he set up his own secret society to overthrow Mughals, he was later assassinated but his struggle lived on.

That's one of the reasons why we are kind of unknown to the world and people have no idea what a Pashtun is. There was however, Pir Roshan who invented the first Pashto script but thats all I know. Pashtuns created Sanskrit so that's a plus.
Jamaladin al Afghani
Khushal Khan Khattak
Ahmed Shah Abdali
Wazir Akbar Khan
Omar Hotak
The Lodhi dynasties had great philosophers
If people think that Ghandi was a philosopher, then you have to count Khan Abdur Ghaffur Khan in that category since he walked the walk instead of talking the talk like ghandi did.
70 millions Pashtuns today and for the last many thousands years we have just few names and those too are not purely mathematicians or philosophers in the real sense of the terms.
We have to wake up guys,,this is shameful!
RTR has great potential. He can fill this gap. He being Mutazalite can become the first Pashtun philosopher of the world and history by a having a degree in Philosophy and conducting some research and already he is a mathematician and by discovering some thing new he can earn global fame.

What's so great about philosophy anyways? It's just man made intuition. I'd rather see more pashtun scientists and engineers.
