  • The Ghuri are Pashtun, not Persian

The persains relate every great pashtun to be their own.
They are liers and pashtun haters.
The persains are more dangerous to pashtuns when it comes to the language, history and origin of our people.
For example the Ghuris were pashtuns and belong to the suri and Ghilzai tribes. The suris are also part of Ghilzia tribe.
Sultan shahbudeen muhammad ghori was belong to the suri tribe and this bs written bellow by persain historain says he was persain. At the sametime they identify him to belong to the suri tribe in this article what a mistake by these liers.

    read pls,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
    Muhammad of Ghor

Muizz-ud-din Muhammad bin SāmSultan of the Ghorid Empire
    Sultan Shahab-ud-din Muhammad Ghori
سلطان شہاب الدین محمد غوریReign1202–1206Born1150BirthplaceGhor, present-day AfghanistanDiedMarch 15, 1206Place of deathDamiak, Jhelum District, present-day PakistanBuriedDamik, Jhelum District, present-day PakistanPredecessorGhiyāṣ-ud-din Muhammad bin SāmSuccessorQutbuddin AibakSultan Shahāb-ud-Din Muhammad Ghori (also spelled Ghauri, Ghouri) (Persian: سلطان شہاب الدین محمد غوری‎), originally called Mu'izzuddīn Muḥammad Bin Sām (and also referred to by Orientalists as Muhammad of Ghor and famously known as just Ghori) (1150 – March 15, 1206), was one of the rulers of the Ghurid dynasty from the famous house of Sur who were rulers of Ghor for five hundred years. He is credited with laying the foundation of Islamic occupation in India that lasted for several centuries. He reigned over a territory spanning present-day Afghanistan, Pakistan and northern India.
Muiz-ud-din, son of Sam Suri, nicknamed Shahab-ud-din which means "The (Flashing) Fire of Religion (Islam)" took the city of Ghazni in 1173 to avenge the death of his ancestor Muhammad Suri at the hands of Mahmud of Ghazni and used it as a launching-pad for expansion into northern India.[1] In the meantime, he assisted his brother Ghiyasuddin in his contest with the Khwarezmid Empire for the lordship of Khorāsān in Western Asia. In 1175 Ghori captured Multan from the Hamid Ludi dynasty which was also Pashtun but were alleged to be un-Islamic on the account of their association with Ismailite Shi'iate sect and also took Uch in 1175. He also annexed the Ghaznavid principality of Lahore in 1186, the last haven of his Afghan but Non-Pashtun Persianized rivals.[1] After the death of Ghiyasuddin in 1202, he became the successor of the Ghurid Empire and ruled until his assassination in 1206 near Jhelum in modern-day Pakistan.[citation needed]
A confused struggle then ensued among the remaining Ghūrid leaders, and the Khwarezmids were able to take over the Ghūrids' empire in about 1215. Though the Ghūrids' empire was short-lived and petty Ghurid Suri states remained in power until the arrival of Timurids, Shahabuddin Ghori's conquests laid the foundations of Muslim rule in India. Qutb-ud-din Aibak, a former slave (Mamluk) of Muhammad Ghori, was the first sultan of Delhi.

In the start of this article the persain evil called him persain and not pashtun. If he was suri then how come he become persain because suri is a pashtun tribe.

Sometime these evil persains called him turk just because they do,nt like these great men to be called pashtun of origin.

Today ,s Ghor and Bamian provinces were the homes of suri, ghilzai and kakar pashtuns till the time of mongol invasion.
The tajik, aimak and hazaras settled in the region later on.The hazaras came from mongolia and the persains from the then khurasan region of today,s iran.
According to some pashtun historians pashtun originated from Ghor later on moved to the sulaiman mountains. This is another long discussion.
EVEN if pashtuns are not originated from the Ghor,Ghor and Bamian are the historicle home of pashtun people and not persian.

They should clearly write pashtun in the start of article and not persio.

Not just this one .They have written books and article called them persains and not pashtuns.

        *Sigh* Not this dilemma again.

The Ghorids were pashtun because all Pashtun tribes originate from Ghor!

part of the reason why people are so concerned about these topics is the identity crisis they are suffering from. people have doubts about their background, ethnicity, tribal affiliation. War, destruction, instability and living as Afghan diaspora in the west, leads many young people to have doubts about their own identity.

The word Persian refers to the language not race or ethnicity. The name is written in Persian. It does not mean he was Persian by race or ethnicity. Yes they should have written Pashto in place of Persian but as the name is not in Pashto language as Pashtuns usually keep Persian or Arabic names which they should not .

Persian is only language while Tajik, Iranian etc are ethnicities or races.

Today the entire papulation of Ghor are parsiwans .The Tajiks are 78% (aimaks and tajiks) followed by hazaras 19% and a small numbers of pashtuns .
A small number of pashtuns still lives in the southwest of Ghor but their language is farsi not pashtu.Haji Abdul Qadeer Imami Ghori was of pashtun origin but like many others he speak farsi not pakhto.
Haji Qadeer imami Ghori was candidate for the top job against karzai in the early 2000.
The mongol invasion was the main reason pashtuns left Ghor. The hazaras and tajiks are not the native of Ghor.
Today,s Ghor is the strong hold of farsibans.

It is not about the name.Youn can search on other names too. They refer him to persains. Not only this one .You can search and read their books about Ghoris.
They call shah husain ghori a persain prince.Shah husain was pashtun not persain.
A pashtun will never ever call himself persain.

This isn´t Iranian source. It´s a western source backed by western scholars like Richard Frye or Williams Bothworth who used middle-age sources. According to some sources and traditions the Ghurids invaded ''the land of Afghauns''. Download the pdf-file on Kart Maliks of Herat: Religion and Politics written by Lawrence Goddard Potter. He writes many things about Ghurids and their later princes and son-in-laws, the Kart Maliks. Before judging a source as false or Iranian take first a read.

I never said it was iranian but western sources judge their claims on what natives say. Iranians have brainwashed people into beleving that Aryan has everything to do with their land so I wouldn't be surprise if they claim the Ghorids as Persians just because they spoke Farsi in the courts. It you belive what the west has written on Pashtuns, then im sure you belive we come from isreal because the west also created this theory. Right? Don't buy into lies.

Oh and Pashtuns defiantly don't make up 2% of population in Ghor. Stop getting your information from Wikipedia.

They don´t get their facts out of their backs. It means they go for sources that exists like those of this guy Jawjani who was from ruling Ghurid house, according to that source and those it uses.

well the sources which i have seen are they come from shansabani family which was a persian family according to sources .. they may be pashtuns but that has only come from little sources which the modern scholars dnt consider correct .and the scholars that are putting this view upfront are not persian themselves..

the reason i think they might not be pashtuns or either persian is because he loved his turk soldiers like his children(his army was mostly made of turk and all his sections of army were commanded by turks like aibak, yildiz, qabacha and iltutmish) even when he was about to die he made qutb ud din aibak his heir not any persian neither any pashtun ..this is a big reason to i think we can clearly say that he was not pashtun or neither persian..the reason he spoke persian or farsi would say that he was a persianized turk like ..Same like khiljis who were turks by ethnicity and had adopted some pashtun culture and way of living and thus were called pashtunified turks...
i think ghauri was turk who was persianized...thats just my view.. majority of it refers to him as persian
