Well, the Kushans (ancestors of the pashtuns) created Sanskrit in India and that was the writing system used before the arrival of Islam, and the creation of the rupee as you mentioned. Other than that i can't really think of anything else.

We hold onto nostalgia in a way that makes us look back rather than forwards. We are part of a much wider human tapestry so in many ways what we have now is a result of all of that. Specifically when thinking about Pashtuns in the modern sense then we have struggled to rise as a people. With the Indians and the Chinese at least there are the signs of mobilization.

We don't help each other enough in my opinion. Still, there is hope.
