And as far as the term 'Brainwashed' is concerned. I find that you can apply it to anyone not coming from your school of thought and dis-agrees with you.

Exactly, the word Khorasan means "Where the sun rises"Originally posted by Sarbani View PostAfghanistan is the Persian word for Pashtunkhwa. Khorasan is not synonymous with Afghanistan.
Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Oh nice, I never made that connection before ....you might be right, I'm actually inclined to agree.Originally posted by salman47 View PostShouldnt Horasan be the original pronunciation? In Zand, Hor is 'sun', so in Pashto it came to mean 'fire'..

The Pashtun and Baloch areas of Afghanistan were never referred to as 'Khorasan' as far as I know.Originally posted by AfghanfootballIt’s born synonymous as the names don’t have the same meaning however it is in the sense that the area now called Afghanistan was referred to as Khorasan.
