My father told me there is this huge stone outside of swat, or in swat, that has Israeli written on it. Maybe the Israelite descendants theory is true?

I don't think so. In pre-Islamis times those areas bordered Bactria, Udyana, Gandhara etc and were inhabitated by many ethnic groups. Bactria was on a Silk Route and became an important trade center. Many merchants passed through these lands. Jews could be among them.دلته دم او قدم دواړه په حساب دي - پل په لاره غلط مه ږده بې حسابه

Why would they leave a huge rock? And also a lot of our "pastunwali" is similar to the old testament of Israelites... And some of our clothing acessories, not to mention the way they rock back and forth as we do too when reading the Quran. I'm not saying its true, but we do have a lot in common.

There are also some similarities between Albanian Kanun and Pashtunwali
I can't remember if any genetic studies proves that Pashtuns and Israeli have a common ancestor. The last results I read say that Pashtuns have gene similarties to people from North-West India.
Also linguistic layer doesn't confirm similarities between Pashto and Semitic languages like Aramaic language (used by Jews) or modern Semitic languages, apart from the fact that Pashto has lots of borrowings from Arabic which appeard with Islam
"Why would the leave a huge rock" ? I don't think we will ever find the answer.
Do you have any pic of it? I would like to ask my professor who knows Aramaic language and ask about his opinion.دلته دم او قدم دواړه په حساب دي - پل په لاره غلط مه ږده بې حسابه

You think bani israel came to swat carrying a big rock??Originally posted by Pashtunlove View PostWhy would they leave a huge rock? What if it was the ancestors of the yusufzai who left swat ended up in Judea and Canaan and after assimilation they are the ones who are your descended cousins
Bengali Muslims, Indian Muslims, panjabi Muslims in any madrasah rock as well, You'd guess they too are related to bani israel?
Clothing, well we don't have their kippi, we don't wear the quadratic cloth under our pattu's, even the shawl worn by Yahud is for rabi, . . . I see no similarity
Plus we don't have bed sheets with a hole, our women are not required to shave their heads and wear the ubiquitous brown wig, we trim our beards and Yahud grow a wild disgusting bush on their faces . . . .

What I don't understan is that the jews in europe after being burned to death and terrorised for centuries still have kept there religion intact and also there cutoms, but in Afghanistan they have forgotten it???
How is that possibel??? I think this whole Israel theorie is just fantasy, after genetic research and so many archeological research there is any hard evidence that support this theorie....In Afghanistan they have found Budhist tempels, zoroastrian tempels and some hindu statues, but jewish synagoge is nowhere to be find....
And the jews that were in Afghanistan spoke Farsie and most of them lived in Herat or Kabul....Like the last jew of Afghanistan was in Kabul and not Kandahar or Paktia.

I don't have a picture, but I was watching this video on it, and not sure if they showed it or not. But my dad did confirm that it was true.

then why don't genetics and other historical or archeological data corroborate this alleged fact?
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
Maybe its only the jews that were in afghanistan are descended from the 10 lost tribes
They also say native americans are descended from the 10 lost tribes but DNA test was made and they were mongoloid,, same with pashtuns some say they're descended from the 10 lost tribes but when DNA test was made they were closer to north west indians
I was reading about this topic on wikipedia and google

I too have wondered about Khaibar north of Madinah and Tangi Khyber, but have not found anything yet.Originally posted by shadowgoverner@Pashtunlove
the opposing side or rather said external side is claiming that our elders were liars and deceivers and after they converted to islam all the tribes elders came together and gave such names to the tribes to make themselves feel special.
dont bother discussing such important issues with some biased people.
They press some foreigners view about pashtuns origins as legitimate than pashtuns view abouttheir history.
@Torkham lala
we are talking about bani israel and not jews, one is a people and other is religion(followers of the tribe of juda).
In Quran kareem there is a clear destinction between these two.
as for caps etc
we should compare Pashtuns to the ancient israelites and not modern israel.
So it must be pashtuns who are actually having the real clothing ,headgear etc and not israelis.
but if caps are relevant than this pictures shoows pashtuns with such caps.

iw as wondering why that place is called KHYBER?
As for the photo, there are many different khulis in different pictures of that time, just like the varieties that are available now, this one may have been all the rage. Also the photo you have posted is certainly staged by the English during their colonization of Hind to show in their exhibitions in England. And this Jewish ideas was peddled then too, so it is likely tinged by biased perception. The camera man had a black cloth over his head, the camera was a plate camera on a rickety tripod, def staged. It is possible these soldiers/volunteers were selected and possibly handed some caps the Brits thought would look just right for an artistic shot of 'Pathan' romanticism.
Back to Khaibar/Khyber, any one with ideas to origin of name of darra-e-Khyber?
