I dont say israelis are good...but not all of them are bad. Those who kill palestenians ofcourse are deviod of humanity.Yet there are jews who love humanity as much as anyone can.Rabbis even say that according to their scriptures...they are not meant to invade israel until YAHUVAH 's (Allah's) orders come to them and direct them. But its the govt who is like all other govts .People in general...are peace loving...whether they are muslims or non muslims. And Allah knows best.

the bad jews are the "zionists" the other jews believe what you just said
So what do you believe in.....regardring the origin of pashtuns?
Look at the archaeological evidence (burials, artifacts, numismatic, historical, linguistic, genetic, etc). We tend to start Afghan history with the migration of the Proto-Indo-Europeans, but Afghan history is much older than that.
Archaeologically speaking, Afghanistan and outerlying regions have uncovered over 50 lower, middle, and upper Paleolithic sites. The most researched area remains in Tajikistan (where the earliest fossil of man was found) was 50,000 years ago. Hominid artifacts were found even earlier, suggesting much earlier habitation. Forty artifacts (identified with the pebble culture) in total were found dating as far back as 75,000 to 80,000 years ago. Further excavations in Karatau and Lakhuti in Central Asia have uncovered stone tools dating back as far as 200,000 and 300,000 years ago, in an area covering over 700 square meters.
Just from that evidence, we know that Pashtuns, although occupying this region presently, are just in a long line of waves of migrations of humanity through this area.
Here first, we may find some of the first ancestors of Pashtuns. When the Bronze age civilizations displaced the Proto-Elamitic civilizations in South-Central Asia (Mundigak, Sayed Qala, Zhob), they brought with them common ancestors of many Pashtuns, Persians, Punjabis, Baluchis, Sindhis, and NW Indians. These Indo-European people were descendants of the first people to domesticate horses. They spread their culture and their language around the world from Europe to Siberia. In this steppe land , the Bactrian camel was also domesticated, and was suitable region for the domestication of the goat, buffalo, and the boar.
In our region, they built prosperous kingdoms such as Bactria, Margiana, Drangiana, Arochosia, Aria, Gedrosia, Pakhtuika, etc. From the Greek, Persian, and Indian texts we hear the names "Pakhtuan" (Pactyan), Pactys, Paktuike (Pakhtuka), Kambojas (tribe attributed to horse riding cavalry Pakhtuans such as the Aspasioi and Ashvakan). In this period, the cultures of these Indo-Iranians changed drastically. The Persians and Indians split so drastically such that forces of good among the Indians became demons of the Persians. North of both of them, was the region of the Turan, comprised of a confederation of Saka, or Scythians that dominated the Central Asian steppe lands. It was the Saka that killed Cyrus the Great and were poised to become a nuisance for all world conquerors, such as Darius, and later, Alexander the Great. He never was able to conquer these nomadic tribes, and eventually married into them. He forged a kingdom even after his death and spread Hellenistic culture to our region.
As the Graeco-Bactrian kingdom was faltered, a new wave of nomadic Turanians swept in. The Saka burst through the Himalayas and valleys North of the Amu-Darya and settled in Afghanistan also. These Saka dispersed the Graeco-Bactrian kingdom, and paved the way for the Tocharians (Tokhari).
These Tokhari people settled in the land that bears their name, Tokharistan. Here again we find a group of Hunnic and Indo-Iranic people who settled in Afghanistan and NW India. They created the Kushan civilization that helped spread Hellenistic styled Buddhism to the far east. Their civilization, like many before it already, would become dust in the wind as the Persians and Indians invaded from both sides.
Soon after, Huns invaded and immigrated to Afghanistan in the form of the Red Huns, or Kitharite Huns. Then another and final Indo-Iranian wave came from the Hindu Kush, archaeologists attribute them to be a once isolated , possibly Tocharian derived tribe known as the Hephtalites aka Sveta Huna. These Huns were unique among others in that their appearance was not like any Huns known at the time. Their traditions were archaic, showing some similarities to the ancient Saka, such as polyandry (marriage of brothers or men to one women) and burial of the dead, which differed from cremation and Zoroastrian burials. These "White Huns" dominated Afghanistan and North India pushing the Persians and Indians back, and conquering their lands. It was in their reign that allowed Bamiyan to prosper (even though they hated Buddhism) and the construction of the Bamiyan Buddhas. When their strength waned, their neighbors were eager to carve up their enormous semi-nomadic empire.
They were defeated by a joint Turkish and Persian assault and the semi-nomadic Hephtalites spread in all directions, many settling in the region of Tokharistan, others in India. Early Historians thought they were Turkic, but recent archaeological evidence shows that they had Iranic names and were most likely speakers of an Eastern Iranic language.
When the Turks carved up Afghanistan, these Hephtalites amalgamated with the Turks, and were known as the Khalaj. The history of the Khalaj by Islamic scholars states that their language and appearance changed from other Turkic tribes and now scholars attribute them to the Ghaljai, who with their close contacts with the Pakhtuans who resided adjacently to them, became Pashtuns. So similar are the two, that the recent genetic findings taken from random samples of Pashtuns done in the past few years show high frequency of similar Y-dna haplogroups, specifically R1a1. Pashtuns from the North side of the Hindu Kush, and the south side of the Hindukush , including Pashtuns from across the Durand, all have over 50% R1a1a. That is a very high frequency, genetically speaking. Coincidentally, the Tocharian mummies also had a very high frequency of R1a1, as do Saka men excavated across Asia.
So there you have it, two big branches. One Pakhtuan that resided in the Ghandhara valley, and another Iranic, the Ghaljai. Both peoples share similar ancestry, shared a similar history, similar genetic history, and merged to become one giant tribe that we and our neighbors know today as Afghans. Descendants and also survivors of a long wave of humanity that started approximately 5,000+ years ago.

^ hi midnight, do you have knowledge of ASI (ancestral south indians)? i dont know if you have seen eurogenes or harrapa project spreadsheets, but why is this component found as far as central asia and even Iran in small degrees? even Kalash the most isolated people have close to 20% ASI, which doesn't make sense to me at all. This component is suppose to be related to the Andamaese people on Andaman islands east of india and is the original component for the Indians, but what confuses me is it's far reach, how did it reach in to the hindu kush mountains and even beyond

Do you know which haplogroup you are referring to? J2 or R2a maybe? This lineage is over 20,000 years old and found specifically in South-Central Asia and among Dravidian speakers. There were Afghans, Kalash, Burushaski, Hunzakot, and others with these markers.
i dont know why u all would hate being descended from israelis arent they descended from abraham????
I'm not sure who you are referring to, but rest assured, I would not hate any origin to our people, if the evidence was there. Unfortunately, other than a small Khazarian haplogroup of some Pashtuns, there is no genetic link to support this. Historically, Jews have lived in this region for a very long time, and it is feasible to see some Jews staying in Afghanistan; there isn't much evidence other than names sharing similarity to the ancient Hebrews.
We can rule out Makhzane Afghani by Nematullah as a complete farce in terms of origin theories. Many authors have criticized it as an attempt by Afghans to give an origin to their people to the Mughal courts who ridiculed them.

I dont think ASI are any of those haplogroups, because both of those haplogroup are west eurasian/west asian. ASI were the first people to inhabitant south asia.
I think there may be some weight in the Israelite descent of some Pashtuns because of this G2c haplogoup which occurs in significant quantity in some Pashtun tribes esp Afridis although I also read in one source that Ashkenazi G2c is different from Pashtun G2c.
the study was published in wikipedia thats where i was reading it how do you think its not real
also pashtuns look like arabs thats because they are all semites tell me how a person with dark skin hair, etc and a long nose, thick eyebrows, large eyes is not a semite?
this is my theory of pashtun, persian, indian, etc aryanism:
the contient where they all live now was populated with semites (elamites) then the aryans came and invaded them and mixed with them.... you can also can find the nuristanis which are the direct descendants of the aryans,,, pashtuns, indains, etc are just a mix between semitic and aryan the direct descendants of the aryans are the nuristanis
Majority of the Arabs are not real Arabs today. They are known as Arabized-Arabs. Semites is an ethno-linguistic classification. The same thing with Iranic and Indo-Iranian. Majority of the Arabs, Jews, and Pashtun fall under the Caucasoid group.
Do you see the Turk, Beduine, and Afghan there?
When people discuss these things they forget they are discussing ethno-linguist terminologies. Physical characteristics are irrelevant. Pashtun are not descendants of "semites" because Pashto is not a "semetic" language. Pashto is an Eastern Iranian language. When discussing history here, we trace the origin of the language and where it comes from, so obviously when it's not a semetic language then it can not come from semetic people.

It is a possibility that Israelites assimilated into Pashtun since when they were dispersed they migrated towards the East. This is why there is a large group of them in Iran and there once was in Afghanistan as well. Some might have moved to Kashmir, and India as well. Others might have settled among Pashtun tribes.
But that doesn't mean that Pashtun descendant from them.
There hasn't been any studies to see the similarities or differences between the two. I'm sure there is a Central Asian origin for both G2c Khazar and G2c among Pashutns.
