I just contributed a page to Afghan Wiki regarding the history of Pashtuns. If you google the word you come across disturbing articles. I'm making an effort to rewrite and gather authentic Afghan history and publicize it over the internet. Read the article here and if you want to add to the page please do so by editing the page. However any falsification attempt will be discouraged.

Iv come across many well informed and well written posts here at PF maybe we could dig out relevant posts and transfer the info over.

The idea behind Afghan wiki is to make a database where Afghans/Pashtuns can write their history in their own words. You are right some posts here on this forum and other forums are worth storing them on Afghan Wiki but it'll be great if the author did that by himself/herself.

Afghan wiki is highly moderated, so I assure you only true and right things will go in there, any falsification will be removed.

I doubt that any Pashtun out there will admit to being egocentric and out of touch with reality when it comes to the way we perceive ourselves out there. What have we contributed to humanity? We take pride in our ability and brevity to stone our own family members in cold blood should they portray a threat to our image in a society we highly disapprove of. A useless lazy corrupted mislead population living off the false egos we have built for ourselves from the greatness of our dead great grandparents. I don't take pride in that.

and who do you want to be if not Pashtun? Show me one ethnicity that isn't a disgrace to humanity? Who was stalin, hitler, masolini, bush, mao? You seem to be finding yourself in a Pashtun forum but trust me you can't find yourself. If that's how you see Pashtuns then you are better off finding a mask that suits your personality. You only see the negative aspects of Pashtun race, if that's how you see every race on earth you'll never find an ideal group with whom you could associate yourself. It's kind of unfortunate to yourself and very much to us Pashtuns that you are counted as one of us.

excuse me? where did i say that i do not want to be a pashtun? since when did one start choosing what type of ethnicity they belong to? is that how it work for you? i don't need a mask to hide or suit my personality because i don't like hiding behind lies for the sake of others or myself. i would rather be "negative" than caught lying to myself and encouraging everyone else around me to excuse their worthlessness in a society by reminding me of 'once upon a time, germany produced hitler..' when asked to provide one good thing that my people have done for each other or humanity in recent times.
i asked you to give me an example of excellence and your excuse for not having an answer was hitler and i am the negative one?? i am not upset because i think afghans are worthless, i am upset because i know we are capable of alot more than taking pride in our savage and animalistic tendencies when it comes to dealing with our problems or treating each other.
until someone as a living being and not the corpse of a 100+ year old pashtun gives me something to be proud of pashtunwali for, i intend on being an embarrassment to lots of people out there by constantly reminding them of what they have chosen to live by and no i will not go and find myself a different title to go by.
