^ Im not embarressed of being Pashtun, being negative about my own people is doing the job for people that are destroying the Pashtun, one good thing that my people have done is not let America bully and conquor them. name one country that has not yeilded to America or the plans of the illuminati new world order, for me that alone is a massive acheivment and contribution to humanity. I love Pashtunwali from the etiquettes that it involves to the philosophys it has.

Dont try and be sneaky you consider yourself a Tajik aswel do you not? do you complain about Tajiks all the time as you do with Pashtuns on a constant basis.

Iv been in the ring plenty of times the secound you start thinking negative is the secound youl feel punches in the face. Relax yourself always:

USA happened to Afghanistan because osama was allowed in Afghanistan. If they went there to look for him or use him as an excuse, I don't care. You can't be enslaved by two opposing parties at the same time so it's understanding and obvious that you would end up fighting one of the two. ( I suppose you consider your ability to use a spoon as some great sort of a talent as well.) That is the bitter truth behind afghans fighting USA. If they gave a damn about each other, they wouldn't have allowed trash in to the country in the first place.
And yes, I am an afghan alot before I am a pashtana. Afghans are Tajiks hazara uzbaks and Pashtuns. I was raised being taught that being an afghan requires for one to relate to the pain of every single one of them out there and understand their loss and need to fight for a unified future. Of course your type wouldn't understand that because you were raised being told you are superior to others, all that you have to do is worry about covering your own ass and you never bothered yourself to question that.

Ogora warta.... Someone feeling shame for her forefathers and feeling proud on westernize way of life claiming that she is pashtana Loooool.
The one who feel ashamed of wearing their pashtun dress fully covered and feeling proud in western dressing half naked, the one who says what have pashtuns done for humanity LOL.
Thanks to God pashtuns have not killed thousands of people in heroshema, pashtuns have not killed millions of people in world war first and then second, pashtuns have not attacked any america or any other country, pashtuns have not interfered in others' personal matters, pashtuns are not making any lethal and extremely dangerous weapons, Pashtuns are not selling their women for commercial and marketing purposes.
pashtuns are not the killers of thousands of innocent people in iraq, palestine, kashmir, chechnya, bosniya, india and all over the world.

Alhamdulillah we feel proud on our forefathers and we love them and we respect them.
You type sold people love their westerners so be with them never come back to your forefathers' land.

That explains it then, take your Afghanistan nationalist behaviour elseware, if you opened your eyes the thread is entitled "Who is Pashtun" not "who is Afghanistani" so stop attention seeking. We as Pashtuns are trying to progress things in this thread

The last thing we need is some Tajik in disguise generalizing us and derailing the thread. Your in love with yourself, nothing could be more disgusting in a human being, why must you turn every thread into "I am this" "Im that" and constantly comparing yourself to people, You need to shut the hell up nobody cares what you perseve yourself as a comparison to what the rest of the entire Pashtun race is good for. you are the one that thinks shes superior, tell me you keep complaining that pashtuns havent contributed to the world, wel tel me WHAT HAVE YOU CONTRIBUTED? it would be interesting to know, apart from psychotic poems, complaining all the time.. your a waste of space yourself if you wasnt so insecure about yorself maybe we'd see less of your constant bichyness.

I m in love with myself because I reminded you of how incapable of seeing beyond yourself you are?? I know the title of this thread but is pashtunwali, Pashtuns and Afghanistan so unrelated to each other that they can't be mentioned in one thread??
I didn't offer you my little rant about nationalism for the sake if it, you asked me if I considered myself a Tajik with the intention of excluding me from this conversation as soon as you could. So if you don't have the guts to hear what I have to say then why ask for it?? So you can get the opportunity to judge me about my choice in poetry in a thread that has nothing to do with it??
Its individuals like you who have selfishness and **** headedness confused for pashtunwali. If anyone dares to correct you, they are sell outs and are being paid by your enemies to discourage you from being what your great grandfathers dreamed for you to be and whatnot...people like you are of no use to Afghanistan and I am here to make that clear. Take your lousy version of pashtunwali to hell with you and see how long you last. And let's forget the fact that you are pathetic enough to think answering a question with a question is a good way of avoiding and escaping a situation and talk about what I have contributed.. I have not persuaded people or encouraged them in to bull****ing each other. For the sake of being deemed agreeable and pleasant, I have not told anyone any lies. I have suggested change rather than excusing my shallowness to cover up for my false ego. Because the idea of being another self deluded moron like you and your kind does not fascinate me a single bit. Not at that cost.
              The end.
I am done talking with you in this thread.

There is a danger in being totally lost in nostalgia and ignoring the present, so DZJ has a point. If you guys were to put your humanity and Islam together, you might find that your Pashtunwali will pretty much automatically fall into place.

Also Aryob isn't wrong by saying that much of humanity has something to be embarrassed about and we Pashtuns are no different in that regards. Similarly, as he points out, there are enough doom/gloom stories about the ogres we are supposed to have become. Some recognition of a few positive messages will go a long way.

Why is it that you guys try to settle an argument by mudslinging whilst also dedicating threads to each other in the Hujra section?

Tor khan lala, We never said Pashtuns are perfect but if someone says that he or she feel ashamed of their forefathers and feel no pride in them then what remains. If someone raise fingers on Pashun chaadar and chaar dewari then what remains. Sometime you have to respond in such a way otherwise we are not always in a mood to fight and throw words at every big and small issues.

I'm not sure where's this discussion going. It was a simple post about a page that explains who Pashtun is. It doesn't glorify anything, it's a presentation of facts. It's an effort to block any false information that is presented by the western and Paki/punjabi media. I don't understand why would someone ask me the contributions of Pashtuns to humanity when all i'm worried about is the definition of a Pashtun.

Don't want to go into any further argument here but I'm a Muslim Pashtun nationalist. I want to work for this small group of human beings for the sake of Allah. I don't want to wrongly glorify them, Allah has already given them the pride and dignity that they claim. However when we say Pashtun is a proud nation it does not mean that every single individual is so. I watch and read western media but I understand what their purpose is. Every time they tell me a story about Afghanistan one is a Pashtun and one is a Tajik, one is sunni and one is shia. They are not honest in their approach and I'm fully aware of that, that's why I do not believe that we are worthless.

As for serving humanity, I've recently come across a name that has inspired me greatly. Mohammad Hashim Kamali, please read about him and if you get a chance read all the books that he has written on Fiqh and Islamic law. Widely read scholar in Muslim Ummah. So why don't you read something about him and then get back to us and we'll discuss how much do we worth to the rest of the Muslim world. By the way he's from lal pura in nangarhar, 100% Pashto speaking Pashtun.

I asked this question a while ago.

It was all male lineage. So with the proviso that Gary Coleman learnt Pashto prior to his demise, this would be a representation:

That's a better definition IMO. It has some logic to it.

So the millions of Indian Pashtuns who don't speak Pashto and chant Jai Hind may not really be Pashtun? Really?

Would Gandhi have been a Pashtun btw, assuming he spoke Pashto?

They live in India and its their nationality so yes they can chant jai hind, i got no problem. As long as they respect their ancestral roots and have the interests of pashtuns at heart, they can be considered pashtuns. But in all honesty, they are not pashtuns anymore as they don't speak pashto and if there is a conflict of interests between pashtun and indians they would support India as they live there. they are sort of a lost cause but it can't be denied that their ancestary is pashtun.

Gandhi can be an honourary pashtun, why not. I don't think speaking the language is what matters, what matters is if your heart lies with the pashtuns. Many people speak english, it doesn't make them english though. so If Gandhi spoke pashto and worked for pashtuns then yes I would consider him pashtun.

It would have been an honour for Pashtuns if Gandhi was a Pashtun but unfortunately he was not. Any Pashtun who speaks and does Pashto is a Pashtun no matter if he says Jai Hind or Jai Afghanistan but I will disrespect any Pashtun who'd consider himself Paki-Punjabi.

A Pashtun may look blonde or African black, we got no problem with that. We aren't racist, our religion doesn't approve that and unlike the cast system that Paki-punjabis have inheritted from the hindus, Pashtuns don't believe in such things. Our only problem is the Paki-punjabi hypocracy and their political system.
