Yes, you are right. There are many Tajaks in Peshawar Valley---One famous professor of Peshawar University now retired but still active and agile is Professor Iqbal Tajik---well-respected ---very prominent in left politics and with a large following in students and teachers...

There are many Tajiks in Charssada---One high ranking police official in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa that I know aout is Younis Sohail Tajik ---

In Swat, in Madayan and inhabiting a cluster of villages on the other side of River Swat, there are Akhund Khels who are the descendents of Akhun Darwaiza ---educated and influential in that area---They are also Tajaks---Liaq Zada Liaq the Pashto poet is probably one of them (am not sure about that)---

In Peshawar city of course you have Qazalbashan, Sardar Khels, etc. still speaking Persian at home...

In Dir, Swat, Charssada, you find them in greater numbers...

That is ,,chach valley in attock distt.
The pashtu speaking villages of the area are serkay, daman, natopa, sheenkay, waisa and part of hazro city.
I have personally been there some of them are duranis, some delazaks,uthmanzais/yousufzais.
There are also many afghans refugees in attock now settled there.
I have met some tajiks but they were from afghanistan came during the war but never met any local tajik.
And even if there are some so whats the big deal.

My great grandfather migrated from Kabul to Attock (then Campbellpur) before migrating to Singapore. Our family have no knowledge or recollection of his ancestral locations. He was fluent in Pashto and Hindko. That much we know. I really wish there was a way for us to know more about his origins..
