you got the last part right, but the first two dont make sense. Just look at the numbers I just posted above. Pashtuns are definatly influenced from the Caucasus of southern russia and even northern Europe

if you combine all the northern european components in pashtuns:

    North Atlantic: 9%
    South Baltic: 5%
    Finnish: 3%

    = that's a good 17% of their dna
and plus add the Caucasus component which is 17%

    17+17=34

so basically these pashtun samples from the Kurram valley show that they are a good 34% European/Caucasian. The rest of the pashtun dna is West central asian, which is basically local to the balochistan/Sindh/eastern Iran, Afghanistan region and 27% south asian which is local to India.

^ again these limited samples probably dont apply to all pashtun tribes, but logically the other pashtuns tribes may not be very different from these numbers, unless some tribes indeed come from lets say Bani Israel or something, then we may have totally different results, but so far Bani Israel link is not proven

This is the main website: http://www.eurogene.eu/

also the west central asian is a genetic component centered in balochistan, and eastern Iran, It's a very old component. I think they are still studying where it originally came from, but most likely it's origins are in the northern middle east area. the rest like south asian, east asian etc... they are what there. South asian is a component out of India, east asian is obviously chinese, korean etc...
I still failed to find the spread sheet... is it in one of the blogposts of the person who keeps the blog? Can you point out the exact link?

The other south asian groups in India usually have any where from 20-30% on average. This component is not of south asian origin, but it is very old, that's why it affected such a large groups of people, stretching from all the way from Europe, all the way to Sri Lanka
By that you mean Eastern Iranian ethno-linguistic group or inhabitants of East Iran?

Karachi, isn't West Central Asia the region including Azerbaijan, Arminia, Anatolia, etc. ? The high frequency of this clade in Baluchistan also seem to be affirming the Baluch account that they came down from Central Asia.

                    Go to this link http://bga101.blogspot.ca/
and do a find for the word "spreadsheet". This is a link to the spreadsheet. It is in the text below the coloured charts that Karachi mentioned.

I did not have time to look thru the spreadsheets fully or read the blog. Why are there several versions of the spreadsheet?

But, assuming I am reading the spreadsheet correctly, then on the whole it shows that Baloch & Brahui & Makrani have lowish "Caucasus" component whereas the Armenians & Georgians & Ossetians & Chechens (for example) have a high Caucasus component and fairly low "West Central Asian" component. Even Turks mainly seem to have a lowish "West Central Asian" component.

Pashtuns seem to have a higher "Caucasus" component than Baloch. Maybe the Georgian governors left behind some descendants after all?

Karachi, I would say the results do not indicate that Baloch themselves have mixed with Sindhis. As some of us commented before, including haviZsultan, we know that different groups in South Asia usually do not like to intermarry.

The other thing the results indicate, if we can apply the results to whole populations, is that the individual numbers of the "West Central Asian" component must have been quite high in the population of South Asia as a whole compared to say the number of those individuals in the "Baloch" population (which is a much smaller population).
