Well, What they are saying is true. Panjabi's and farsiwans in afghanistan would like to keep the status quo because it serves their interests. But my question to them is what will happen to the farsibans if the pashtuns unite under loy afghanistan. What option do they have. Are they better off to separate in landlocked countries that would be dominated by a bigger and economically stronger afghanistan anyway or is it better for them to stay in a union that is more powerful and more economically feasible.

Since Toramana has acquired his logic in political circumstances where discrimination is rampant, so I think he ca't get rid of his polarized spectacles.

Look Khoshala! punjab has institutionalized discrimination, it is there in the constitution of Pakistan and above all they have a very strong military which takes over control any time they see things are going a bit out of control. This is whole history of Pakistan. They dissolved the very first constituent assemby in 1954 just before the completed constitutional draft was to be signed by the members of the assembly .Originally posted by khushal View PostWell, What they are saying is true. Khyaala, I am sorry to say but you have your this overly romantic view of things...I mean demographic factors, ethnic consciousness, identity, etc. and their relationship to political power are the things that set forth political dynamics...i wonder how can you ignore these things and yet call yourself a student of poltics...
Don't think as a romanticist...think as a non-Pashtun of Afghanistan or Pakistan...what suits them...But anyhow there is no end to romanticism if one wants to be...

^ I am a non pashtun of Afghanistan.
Why don't you just ask me instead of just projecting your paranoid delusions?
This is really sad.
All the pashtuns I have met all my life have never ever expressed anything like what you guys are saying here ..."kick out the farsiwan...we just want to be our selves".
And I ve met enough pashtuns from various groups. I doubt you internet geeks represent real pashtun mentality. The pashtuns I know are the most hospitable and generous people on the face of the planet. You all strike me as a bunch of misers "lets take the resources ...make money ...progress..." ... lol .. whatever.

But the same argument is true even about Pashtun class strata also. And it is this same argument which is generally propagated among the lower caste Pakhtuns of Pakhtunkhwa.Originally posted by Toramana View PostKhyaala, I am sorry to say but you have your this overly romantic view of things...I mean demographic factors, ethnic consciousness, identity, etc. and their relationship to political power are the things that set forth political dynamics...i wonder how can you ignore these things and yet call yourself a student of poltics...

I know they have that your mind state, that is why they are among the poorest nations on earth.Originally posted by graveyardofempires View Postmy beloved parsiwaans? so they arent your beloved because you didnt progress?your problem is you are intentionally or unintetionally promoting the very thing we afghans deem the problem.
So you think by isolating yourself without means and resources you will somehow get "advanced"?
the way you are portraying pashtuns is called margenalising you are also overexagerating the situation between "parsiwaans" and Pashtuns.Matter of fact they dont liek to be called parsiwaan but Afghan. Those Parsiwaans who are anti Pashtun are the guy who's picture ive just posted and you vote into his favour.
In LOY AFGHANISTAN all the languages and cultures will be preserved like a model of "EU" union.

Khyaala, the interplay of all these factors determine political dynamics depending on in which situation which factor gets played....Ethinicity, identity, culture, history, religious ideology, etc. play as much a role (if not more) in determining the course of political history as the class-based perceptions and motivations ....
Sorry to say it but I cannot be romantic at this critical juncture of our history and harm my people as well as others (just imagine what implications does Loy Afghanistan have for others as well as Pashtuns) as a consequence...Last edited by Toramana; 04-14-2011, 10:27 PM.

Ironically, the people of southern districts of khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been convinced by Punjabis that in the case of Azad Pashtunistan the real political power will always be in the hands of the political elites of of Peshawar valley. This same thing is propagated here by Toramana. lol

Actually you are the real romantic. You wish to create something which never existed in history before.

Thanks a lot ... And I am indebted to you for showering these praises on my people....However, I want to have a realistic and objective view of myself as well as my people...We are as humans as others ...We have certain values that we uphold at the individual level....That doesn't mean we have unlimited patience for others....As long as in our comfort zone we can be tolerable to others...Trespassing that, we can be equally hostile/evil...Originally posted by Alchemist View Post^ I am a non pashtun of Afghanistan.

I mean an objective and realistic view would help us...Don't make me into a devil...Neither make me into an angel...Last edited by Toramana; 04-14-2011, 10:42 PM.

There are a lot of things that never existed in history yet have come into being...On the contrary, a lot of things have been existing in history but are now extinct and in the dust-bin of history never to be recreated again in the original form...Originally posted by khyaal View PostActually you are the real romantic. What is the objective reality is, 50 million people not what existed two centuries before....
Nothing has perenially existed...Last edited by Toramana; 04-14-2011, 11:06 PM.
