If Yos approached even the most fundamentalist Muslim Pakhtuns of Afghanistan and FATA with these inquiries instead they would treat him with hospitality and kindness despite his support for Zionism.
Lets try to behave ourselves a little here. There is always a nice way to convey our points of views so we shouldn't have to resort to immaturity.

and if he asked them to drop islam and fight for israel?
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

      Yos,

If you have Pashtun genetic data proving any kind of link with Semites or Jews then I invite you to go ahead and share it.

On a personal note, I am from a tribe which has been considered to be derived from Bani Ephraim, and yet I have taken proper genetic tests, and we have no links to Middle Eastern genes whatsoever. I know several other Pashtuns who have taken genetic tests and they too have no links to Israelite blood.

I am unaware of how much biology you are familiar with, and specifically how Y-chromosome DNA is passed on from father to son. DNA does not change over time. It would not be possible for the ancestors of Pashtuns to have had Middle Eastern DNA, and for us to have Iranic, Central Asian, or European DNA.

Thank you, if you ever came to Israel I would be more than happy to host you. For the record I am against the Zionst government, I want a real state based on Torah, not this secular garbage. The only reason I joined the army, was for two reasons, one there is a new brigade for only religious soldiers and no women are allowed in because that would lead to immodesty God forbid and in the rest of the army it does. Second I want to defend my people. I did not do it for this secular heretical government. The Israeli government is so bad, that they arrest Jews who pray on the holy Temple Mount in Jerusalem, its where the Temple once stood.

However despite the secular government, despite the immoral things that go on, its still our homeland and I am personally working with a religious movement to try to change things.

I should tell you Israel recently commissioned scientists to travel to Afghanistan and Pakastan to test Pashtun for genetic relations with Jews. So we will soon have our answer. As for you every group has its sprinkle of outsiders and converts. I dontk know your personal situation, but maybe that is the case. What is your tribe called?

I'm afraid that is not the case with Pashtuns. Tribal descent is a complex part of Pashtun society, and it is highly, highly unlikely that an outsider can become a part of a tribe. Pashtun culture has always been strictly patrilineal. An outsider may rarely marry a female from a tribe, but his descendants will not call themselves of that particular tribe.

My tribe is called Afridi. It is the same as that Indian fellow who is relentlessly continuing his futile struggle to link himself to the descendants of Prophet Joseph. Man cannot change his blood. I will wait for these results you speak of, the results should indeed be interesting.

                      • so that article is a year old. for something that should take a week to complete, its certainly been a long time.

I appreciate you sharing that, but then again, the article does say:

Historical and anecdotal evidence strongly suggests a connection, but definitive scientific proof has never been found.
As randolph85 mentioned, something like a simple genetic test does not take that long to complete. Eight weeks at the most, in fact.

There is a lot of evidence that suggest we are from Bani Israel. Many Pashtuns have heard all these stories.

Think about it= who just makes this all up, and for what purpose.

Lets separate our cultural history from politics.

Yos should realize that Israel is doing the bidding of the West, and he should follow the philosophy of the Hasidic Jews in denouncing the state.

But other than that, I think we are from Bani Israel because there is no similarities with surrounding ethnic groups.
Why does any party make anything up? Usually it is for some sort of gain, bro. It doesn't take much research into the past to figure out when this theory was born, who gave birth to it, and what the political situation was for Pashtuns at that time.

unknownprice wror, with all due respect, just take a genetic test and it will put your mind at ease.

                              • Those who advocate the theory cite oral history and the names of various clans, which resemble the names of the Israelite tribes that were exiled by the Assyrian Empire 2,700 years ago are deeply confused. Numerous ancient texts, such as the Rig Veda, composed BEFORE 1200 BCE, which mentions the "Paktha" as an enemy group (e.g. in 4.25.7c), and Herodotus in his Histories composed circa 450 BCE which mentions the Pashtuns as "Paktyakai" (Book IV v.44) and as the "Aparytai" = Afridis (Book III v.91) in what is now Afghanistan and Pakistan, yet no sources before the conversion of the Pashtuns to Islam mention any Israelite or Jewish connection, nor is the Eastern Iranian language of the Pashtuns taken into account when examining the claims of Hebrew ancestry.

It could be concluded that these claims appear to have emerged amongst the Pashtuns following the Islamic conquest of Afghanistan; it is conceivable that many tribes have created elaborate ancestral lineages to link themselves to prominent peoples mentioned in the Qur'an such as Jews, Greeks (see Alexander the Great in the Qur'an), and Arabs, all of whom have come to the region, but appear to have contributed a very small genetic input into the population rather than drastically altering the demographics of Afghanistan.

Some anthropologists lend credence to the oral traditions of the elder Pashtun tribes themselves. For example, according to the Encyclopaedia of Islam, the theory of Pashtun descent from Israelites is traced to Maghzan-e-Afghani, a history compiled for Khan-e-Jehan Lodhi in the reign of Mughal Emperor Jehangir in the 16th century CE. The Maghzan-e-Afghani's Bani-Israel theory has been discounted by modern authorities, due to numerous historical and linguistic inconsistencies.

Some sources state that the Maghzan-e-Afghani, from an oral tradition, may be a myth which grew out of a political and cultural struggle between Pashtuns and the Mughals. This explains the historical backdrop for the creation of the myth, the inconsistencies of the mythology, and the linguistic research that refutes any Semitic origins.
