Does this actually matter? when there are so many more pressing matters at hand

it matters,,identity comes first,,thats why a baby born is given a name along with milk, clothes and shelter,,all problems and matters have their due significance. It does not mean that if we have issues like we have war in Afghanistan or Pashtuns are illiterate or Pashtuns are becoming Wahabis , we should leave cultural, social, anthropological, philosophical and other discussions like knowing our forefathers and our tribles

Talking abt tribes is rather useless discussion... what matters is that we are good people... as for background being pashtun shld suffice

ignorant people with no achievements in their own life gloat abt the deeds of their ancestors... kind of making up for their own failures... be a good person, lead a good life... ethnicity is of a little matter... marry a good person pashtun/pashtuna or not and be true to yourself
when your dead and your bones turn to dust it wont matter one iota what you were or what tribe you belonged to

                Admin Khan wrora:
Thanks for this book. It confirmed the information about my tribe, sub tribe and all the way down, that I received verbally from my mother long time ago. She had not read this book but she had preserved all the information in her memory and passed it on to the next generation that she received from our forefathers.

I can't find any info on "Kharoti" on my ipad. can someone please find the chart for them?

                          Luffy,
Those it matter what it's called? Pashtuns are occupied on both sides, be it punjabis on one side, or Parsiwans on the other.

                            Idiot jaan,
In our Kitabtoon section there is a book about Pashtun tribes. Take a look at it.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

                            -Ferishta, 1560–1620

On this chart, there is propaganda against the Ghilzai. This is completely false, and was made by persian because Ghilzai gave them a lot of problems.

I wish people could modify these stupid tables.
