Please someone make a good argument without saying its acceptable in Shiism. That means nothing. everyone knows that!!

Address this: Mutah (temporary marriage) contradicts pashtunwali. Please explain how it does not. Anyone? So far the points I have seen are weak. "its ok for them to do," so what suddenly pashtunwali changes for people because their religion allows them to do something that contradicts it LOL?

I don't think there is anything wrong with that. In fact, I think it is highly admirable when a man does that because they are then able to financially support a widow who has probably lost a lot of money.

Our society! I hate it when people look down upon widows and those who marry widows.
O'faithful hearken thy vezir, for he promises them another Gandamak and for the ancestors of Hari Nalwa a similar fate has been sealed. We shall shake the foundations of their inner sanctums, written in gold and immortal will remain this endeavor of Afghans.

So here is the thing...you are in denial of the facts in front of you that Shia Pashtuns exist. So far you have concocted fantasies in your head about their "purity". It is quite laughable my friend.

Why don't you tell us how it contradicts Pukhtoonwale?

You said adultery, I showed that its not. If you say fornication, I showed you its not. Now please tell us, how it contradicts Pukhtoonwale? You again my friend are limiting Pukhtoonwale to your own thinking of "ghairat" and "namus". Many people have localized these things. For some just the fact that a woman has more sexual partners in her life is TABOO, even though they were legitimate relationships. OMG! She been with more than one man? Noooooo...but its okay for men to be with not just multiple women, but boys, goats and chickens.

bro, just stating that its islamic means nothing because that is the issue of contention between sunni and shiite islam. In regards to shiism and pashtunwali, it is an issue too. The way I have learned is that both Pashtun men and women should not have had "partners" out of wed lock. Theres no double standard. Im not saying that men can go anywhere and do anything.

Now, obviously if a man or woman marries a widow or widower, respectfully, thats different.

I have made my points pretty clear. Besides saying it is Islamic, please explain how it does not violate Pashtunwali. Everyone knows that temporary marriage is used for one "temporary" purpose, so need to beat around the bush lol.

                            Zahir,

Bro: wedlock - : the state of being married.

Bro: Mutah: legalized marriage with a fixed term. Bro, mutah doesn't equal "out of wedlock".

I never said it was religious, I gave you explanation as to how it doesn't contradict Pukhtoonwale. Granted that some abuse mutah to the point where you can say it has become legalized prostitution, but that doesn't take away from its true purpose. Just like Swara, part of Pukhtoonwale, which today is nothing short of sadistic bondage and life of hell for the victim where she is abused sexually by all members of the family including their pet animals. But it had/has legitimate applications. The purpose and intentions of these things was to serve good.

Come on bro, Im Sunni. For me to accept this argument would mean to accept Shiite practices. At least you agreed that people abuse it. I have to do more research into it. Hopefully, I meet a Pashtun Shiite, and I can ask them.

Mutah contradicts pashtunwali because in pahtunwali marriage is permenent, there is no divorce.

The purpose of marriage is to start a family. When you make marriage vows, that is why you are making them. You are promising to take of the woman for the rest of her life. You can not break that promise.

I know many Turi's and they do not practice Mutah, I asked them if they agree with it, they tell me absolutly not. Even the revelutionary Ayatollah Khomanie tried to outlaw Mutah in Iran, but didnt have the political suppport for it. Under Saddam Hussein in Iraq, Shias were not allowed to practice Mutah, but currently it is coming back in a big way. There are stories I here that when men have their wives pregnant, they approach poor young women and offer them money for a mutah contract.

Some people say that Turis are not original Pushtuns, but the Turis I know say they are, they tell me that the Zazis and Wardak tribe is their brethren tribe. I dont know if anybody out there has any information about this.
