I think I would rewrite that a bit.

Allah must come first, then my parents. I think it is important to respect all of Allah's creations, even those whom I do not understand. Yet respect is also something that is earned. "If my husband for example were to do something that clashed with Islam, it is my duty NOT to obey him, but to point this out (tactfully and gently) and to change his orders.

People be they male or female who are educated are not so easily manipulated, naturally I can understand why "some" people might prefer uneducated people, at the same time the Qu'ran tells us that knowledge is the obligation of every Muslim.

I know I have much to learn, and I respect all of you, because I am an outsider, so please forgive me my ignorance of your ways.

    Humbly,
    Rabia

Men going to work, doing the shopping and driving...not tiring enough? Yes i do agree housework is tiring so the woman deserve some help....not little help but a lot of help. Washing clothes you just put in washing machine. Buy the woman a dishwasher to make her washing easier. Looking after baby well men can help out doing half of the work like looking after them while you wife does something else or relaxes, cooking help out sometimes so why so many complaints?? Life is not easy and you can't expect the husband to do everything...
the difference between men and women is that we appreciate what men do for us, we realize all the time that they are working hard for the family. that is why a woman if just a house wife, all the time thinks "oh he must be hungry when he comes, dinner must be ready by then" or " oh he looked upset this morning may be i should prepare his fav dessert today" or " he likes pink, may be i should wear pink today" or any other way to make him happy .. but men on the other hand " ITS YOUR JOB TO COOK , why is my dinner not ready :@ !!!!!!" he wont say oh its not ready i can wait honey.

and the way u put household work , men dont help at all where i live and life isnt easy for women either!!

They also need to take kids to school, so they can't just stay at home all their life.
plus taking out if also your job, I will love to take my wife out to resturants, cinama etc, whoever keep their wife locked at home is not a human or a muslim.

I agree with Saifullah, I woman can work and obtain some financial independence, and according to Islam, she can spend that money however she wants (buy herself a diamond necklace or a good book to read). She could even buy a car for her husband Women need to be educated for themselves and also because they are the ones who raise the children, and children need to learn about Islam at a young age, especially if you live in a Western country(myself).
