The Edward college of Peshawer, promotes and grooms this type of culture and outlook in boys and girl students............but it seems the girls are non-Peshaweri, probably are from Punjab side (Pindi-Islamabad) and have attended the concert in Peshawer. They have typical Punjabi looks of Potohar side........if i am wrong, then they must be some burger-girls from Hindko families.

This Newyork-type night club activity in Peshawar is confined to PC hotel, its an out-of-place island there

The girls still seem like the "kharyan" type to me even though they speak Pashto. Someone told me that you can easily find people openly selling alcohol all over Afghanistan and i didn't believe them until many people confirmed it for me. We must acknowledge these sorts of things are creeping into our society but what should be our response? Clearly people don't accept Taliban type rule so we have to come with alternative solutions.

Every kind of konitob is going on in Pashtun society, its just that we pretend that it doesnt exist and claim to be gentleman and honorable.............zinna is very common, its just that its secretive. Pederasty is openly and shamelessly practiced in many areas of Pakhtunkhwa.....

Pashtun is very traditionalist,.... prayers, fastings and hajj are 'traditions' or culture for him which he strictly follows........other than these rituals, Islam is mostly absent from his/her life......Pashtuns are committing grave sins but are trying to garb it by growing large beards and by tiring themselves in mosques.

I personally believe We Pashtuns need to let our females take part in our society, become doctors, engineers and contribute positively to society. We need to develop a healthy attitude to seeing females in Public life within the scope of our religion and culture. Being overly conservative in this day and age only leads to hypocrisy as you said.

Once you open up for influence from outside, there is no stop or going back...this means no limits....people will seek entertainment even as far as prostitution, porn studios, brothels, swinger clubs, what else the West keeps innovating. And once you remove religion from society people will become literal animals...religion was created for this specific reason to separate and elevate human kind from animals, creatures that are slaves to their natural instincts and urges.

I agree women should be treated better, but feminism is a cancer to civilization. It absolutely destroys the nuclear family. The nuclear family has been the backbone of human civilization so far. Even with so much feminism in the West, it is still largely a patriarchal society. Men rule/dictate every facet of life. And this is perhaps how its supposed to be from a natural pov. Civilization is after all a creation of men...

having grown up in the West as a young man, I can see things from both perspective. I have tried living the western way of life...honestly its overrated....i will say in the end of the day very depressing, shallow, and lonely. Its soul crippling....its no wonder westerners drink so much alcohol to cope with their existence...I have come to the conclusion that i very much prefer the ancient traditional conservative way of life of Islamic societies.

If I could live a decently comfortable life (that is decent wage, good health care and education system, competent and fair government/police, etc., these are the only aspects of western society we need to copy, nothing else imo) in a conservative muslim society as the Afghan society, I would leave the West tommorow without any hesitation...

These people in the video are nothing else but brainwashed...they have been brainwashed by western influential medias, that behaving in this certain way leads to a feeling of happiness.


I am not going to be hypocritical. There is a certain amount of brainwashing in every society, in the western society as much if not more than other societies. A certain amount of brainwashing is crucial for us as humans to function in society and to be able to navigate through this short experience of existence as comfortable and as happy possible. How we define happiness is subjective...some people think having women "liberated" as iin getting paid to be dancing naked in front of men is happiness and a dignified way of living, while others disagree....in the end its about what kind of society you wish to raise your son and daughter in. Do you want your daughter to freely talk with boys, have boyfriends, kiss in public, have sex with whoever...and for your son, what you wish for him?

Because accepting such behavior as in the video clip in op into your society will lead to even more of so called western "liberation"...

There is something unique about people that isnt westernized/americanized....

I dont want to marry a western women because by the time they reach a certain age, they have slept with 5-50 different men....whats the point of marrying a woman and call her your wife, if 5-50 other men have slept with her before you??

if Afghans and muslims begin to copy Western culture, then it will be tragic...now if this becomes the norm in Pakistan, it might reach Afghanistan eventually...
