    Anyway's didn't so called "Arabs" mostly settle in Kabul and parts of the north like takkhar and Baghlan since they originally came down north from Bukhara to introduce Islam into Afghanistan?

    I was obviously talking about the capital of Kabul, and Kunar is at least 95% Pashtun in population with the remaining rest being Pashai's with not Tajiks or Sayeds at all. And Al-Afghani looks Pashtun with only his first name being Sayed.

      Well the Kakakhel website says something intersting about their origins; take a look;

      The name "kakakhel" was not very popular till the 12th century, but slowly and steadily it got its popularity in 13th century. The reason behind this fact is that till 12th century, the number of "kakakhels" was in a less amount, so less that it cannot be included as a definition of a tribe. When their population grew more and the sources of media also developed then slowly and steadily they were considered as a "tribe"...A tribe of pustoon nation with "Arab blood".

      It may not be the best source or even an answer to your question, but its the best we've got. So basically their leader's first name was Sayed and the tribe were devout muslims causing people to believe they must be of "Arab" origin which is totally ignorant. Btw this is not the first time a Pashtun tribe has been doubted of being Arab, the Bangash have also been rumoured to be of Arab descent and so have the Ormurs (despite being 100% of Iranian stock) and they deny this strongly. Like i said, Arab descent claims are totally farse in a region like Pashtunistan which the Arabs saw as a last resort to even settle.

          Your question indicates that you have little or no idea about Pashtun society

            Also,

            The Islamic invasion in the 7th century CE left an immense cultural impact on the region, with reports of Arabs settling in Afghanistan and mixing with the local population [49]. However the genetic signal of this expansion is not clearly evident: some Middle Eastern lineages such as E1b1b1-M35 are present in Afghanistan, but the most prevalent lineage among Arabs (J1-M267) was only found in one Afghan subject. In addition, the three Afghans that identified their ethnicity as Arab, had lineages autochthonous to India.
