(btw,If there is one, please let me know)

Since childhood, men are fed by thier moms/sisters/other females (consider your khan-an at home) and so they want to receive the same kind of love and attention(according to them) and the belief that the food will actually taste better if being cooked and served by his mom/wife/sister etc. Men are always driven by tangibility--''doing'' and "giving" love/anything else in real life (eulogizing him in poem does not mean anything to him but if you make Afghani Pulao.... *drool*). That is why, MEN always (or most of the times) prefer beauty of WO-MEN more than her "maazgha".
Don't forget to read "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" by John Gray for "why cooking is a requirement for a Pashtun Men"?
To understand everything, read some books of the honorable Sigmund Freud.

P.S. Cooking is the best weapon..use it!!
Finally a true pashtun women .

yes you can. you just have to be super cute and extra lovable.
a wife is like a gift. her cooking ability is like the gift wrap. it's good if it's nice and sparkly but it's what's inside that ( ) matters.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

the reason why a person who can cook is very important to them is because they are too lazy to cook themselves.
I'm guilty along with half the planet.

The truth is I never learned to cook.

a woman should never expect her husband to cook for her unless she is ill and a man should never give the excuse of "men are not supposed to cook.." unless he wants the imprint of a spatula on his face. case closed.

If a Woman can not cook then there must be something wrong with her. Traditionally Women are the ones who cook and men are the ones who bring the food.

I hate it when they say "back home" you think like this and so.

let me remind people, Ive met people from the west who complain that their wifes cant cook and only heat packed food and wish they had a wife who can cook.

                              Kind Regards

Better to be single than someones slave.
The above post shows a good example of influence of West on our people.

It is in the Etiquettes and mannersim for a women in the east to have the ability to cook. But madar pidar azaad society of west corrupts the minds of women and misguide them on the name of gender equality.

Cooking is a skill but it also reflects personality of the women.
