Go home to mommy kid. Barking and complaining about Porkies, and Pakis in attempt to relinquish your selves from responsibility has stopped working a long long time ago. Even Karzai admitted that this time around no one is to blame but ourselves. The reason why you blame every single fart on Pakistanis is because if you didn't you'll actually have to get off your obese kwantara and do something positive. Donating a shoe doesn't count.

Where you see poverty I see determination, where you see complacency I see survival of the fittest. FYI, Pashtun are very poor, and this is reality that you like to shove under the sand because it exposes your world of posting beautiful pictures of mountains, valleys, chickens and goats. I apologize for disturbing your self deluding contribution to this platform, but a doze of reality is far much better than utopian and myopic (your words btw) wet dreams of self entitled Pashtun custodians such as yourself

Now, what are you and Khostai, going to do about it? When was your last donation to these Pashtuns? When was your last practical contribution to these poor Pashtuns? You want to ask mines, I wont tell because I dont brag. But let's just say it's probably more than you earn in a month. You know, Ramadan came, and poor Pashtun got to eat....no?

Here is reference in case you need: http://www.pashtunforums.com/showthread.php?t=29789

Now back to your usual "great contributions".
That is not the truth. What hurts is, being a Pukhtun, you gave the title (and by doing that, kind of deliberately high-lighted) "strong, brave, ..." to a situation which can only be called lamentable. I took strong exception to this because it on the one hand, it was an effort to glorify poverty and fatalism in Pashtuns instilled by religion and on the other was propagating the stereotypes various oppressing powers invented about us out of self-interest, pity, and admiration sometimes one can have for animals of the wild.

I know you did it out of "pride". A number of West-resident Pashtuns do this in order to inflate their self-image as Pashtuns (Probably, they also show this to others ---look how sturdy, brave, strong, bla bla bla my people are---). True, it might massage the ethnic ego of some of us but it is not good for the folk back home. They have to be told that this situation is not good ---and that it must change.

Nevertheless, no West-resident Pashtun would like these things in his life.

In a way, this is also like some Westerners who think they should be on the top and the rest of humanity should be in the zoo to provide a source of amusement, excitement, relaxation, and sometimes a game for prey to them when they want it.

I'm the last person to inflate Pashtun ego, I am sure many here can testify to that. The title were quoted words of the documentarian and way to grab attention.

Sorry to inform you but this has nothing to do with your conspiracy theories, I been following this series by Al Jazeera (not Westerns btw) who cover workers in such conditions from all over the world.

'N don't bad mouth the West or Westerners, you sound more and more like your rivals. What is it with you people, no consistency or character. Flip flop flip flop anything goes to win an online argument to save face.

Westerners, and especially migrants to the West including Pashtuns, actually do take on such daunting professions to survive. No one said that they like what they are doing, there are very few people that can say they "like" their jobs. It is about character. You dont like it because you feel guilty. That's not a bad thing, that's a good thing. It might finally encourage you to actually do something practical.

It seems outsiders have invented very effective intoxicant/opium for us to which we have gotten highly addicted. This intoxicant is packaged in stereotypes and emotional pills like "Pashtun brave", "Pashtun very Islamic", "Pashtun very strong", "Pashtun very ghairathmand", "Pashtun very wafadar/loyal", "Pashtuns very proud", bla bla bla bla---

Even if others don't serve it to us, we Pashtuns are in search for this opium constantly.

I agree with you on that 100%.

The other intoxicant is the scapegoating for our own problems. Which has resulted in this victim mentality where we produce very little actual and practical solutions. Like the African Americans who constantly blame White people for their problems yet there are plenty of folks within their community that keep all the stereotypes alive if not take them to newer heights.

Very little has been accomplished by those who have blamed their own faults, short-comings, and misadventures on their parents, siblings, or neighbors. Nations that have evolved to achieve great things are those who stopped making excuses for themselves.

This is evident not only in Pashtuns but also Pakistanis and the whole of Islamic community. No on suffers from this mentality than the later two groups I would say. Wouldn't you agree?

the reason afghans are not educated today is not entirely the fault of those who have used religion as a tool to oppress them. we have had plenty of highly educated leaders in the past who chose to betray our people and land just as much. one has to question everything coming their way including false praises and not let one's ego feed on to it as it can very easily turn in to a weakness.
this blame game will go on forever until we stop depending on others to bring us back on our feet. in order for that to happen, we need to appreciate and value the hard work of our laborers as much as that of those working in fields to promote education. neither one of those skills can get us far just on their own.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

What we need is a strong system in the hands of intellectually very strong people. So that they could educate the masses in a proper way. I am not talking about the current education.
An education through which you could put the nation on one path and give them an ideology through which they could know what is bad and what is good for them, through which you could tell them about their aim and goal and show them the right path to pursue that goal and give them a time frame to achieve that goal.
A strong system is very important I tell you otherwise no education, no finance, no intellect, no bombs, no invasions, no barbarism, no westernization, no easternization will work and the situation will be the same for the next 100 years.

nations who 'evolved to achieve great things' were also built on the backs of the colonised, slavery and theft of others resources/booty and land.
blind admiration for the developed world and it's accomplishments is ignorant.
imperialists gained wealth and slaves, that allowed them the luxury to explore beyond mere survival.
admiration for those who have a strong spirit in adversity, is a good thing. they can do with all the positive support, they deserve.

And Pashtuns are not exception to this general principle. And they attacked India etc. and tried to take other people resources. So, let us, Pashtuns, not claim that we have always been the victims and try put our lot with the rest of humanity as equal citizens of planet earth and share in responsibility to it, ourselves, and the rest of humanity.

even western countries, sending these toxic ships to be dismantled cheaply, by people who don't even have protective gear and may not know the dangers to their health, is another form of imperialist selfishness.

I didn't know that Japan, China, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia or India "evolved" on the backs of colonizing and enslaving people (yeah Japan has a bit history but no big deal).

Your talking about the nature of your own kind, I agree with that too, 100%. A morally bankrupt rotten bunch indeed.

you need to look a bit deeper into some of those countries as to how they treat their own, but they are not imperialists per se, at the moment.
the nature of your 'own kind' is no different. check out the history of muslim imperialism, slavery, booty gathering and oppression, lol.
your muslim brethren are giving a great performance at the moment as to their compassion for their muslim brothers/sisters, don't you think, resistaaaaawnce?

also those you mentioned are copying tactics/methods of self development of the western cultures, including so called 'democracy'.
btw, which of those countries is NOT on life support/aid, from the west?
