I can go on. Our women are to blame just as our men are.

But ironically, our "educated" women all of sudden think that they can spit on the face of our men. If you care so much, help our nation by helping to educate the men and the women. Don't point fingers at the men only, like useless Westerners do.

I am not saying that our men are innocent. By no means. However, they are uneducated and they are simply following a traditional tribal villager life.

When Pakistanis talks about Dari speaking Afghans being different or bad or corrupt or whatever ,it is not to criticise any moral flaws in a nation for reformation purposes but it is done as an established policy of GHQ Rawalpindi to highlight the ethnic differences and add fire to the flame of ethnic divisions among Afghans which is turn would result in mutual fights and fueds and hence instability of Afghanistan.

The brown sahibs in the GHQ are still dreaming that Pakistan can be stable even if Afghanistan is unstable while the very dreamer of Pakistan [Iqbal] had long back said:

The Afghan nation is the heart of Asia and any instability in Afghanistan will spread over throughout Asia.

The humungous ethnic differences in Pakistan are not considered where the Mahajirs would not even bear the existence of Punjabis and Pakhtuns in Sindh. The freedom movement as a result of continuous subjugation and oppression of Baloch since 1948 is just not given coverage by any Pakistani media. The huge ethnic differences between Punjabi ,Pakhtuns and Seraikis are of no importance to the military elite of Pakistan. They only see the ethnic difference betwee the dari speaking Afghans and Pashto speaking Afghans who have been living for centuries there contrary to a history of less than half a century of current [west] Pakistan.

Being a Villager is nothing bad but behaving like a villager in a city is like behaving like a school boy in a college. They say while in Rome do as the Romans do. That is why when you are in a city of multiple ethnicites,cultures then we need to be considerate that the pace of life is fast and you need to keep up with the pace and do not expect the same type of response which you will get from a person of your village who has lived with you for centuries. The urbanisation culture everywhere where poeple have progressed is utilitiarian as a pre requisite for urbanisation.



This is judgement and profiling. You would have some ignorant standards and benchmarks of grace and honor based on the lack of exposure and you just judge all those who do not fit that narrow definition of grace and honor as degraded. This is so shallow and superficial.



They canot behave according to your expectations as your expectations might be demanding and based on your wishful thinking. While wise people behave in ways which are frutiful.



Peshawar still is a city of values and virtues. It was just the political manipulation by the ruling junta due to which the spy agencies of Pakistan used it for their vested interests , killed the people and detroyed the city for some bucks.

Your comment about Afghan immigrants is totally biased. First of all Afghan immigrants are the elan vital of Peshawar city. All the businesses are flourishing due to their enterprising nature. The clientele of the local companies is majorly Afghan.

In political terms , Peshawar is as an Afghan city as Kabul is. Its the same people across the controversial Durand line. I think you are a bit more indoctrinated by the " Pakistan studies" than others over here. Dont listen to the biased Pakistani media and avoid reading the fake Punjabi writers.

What are tribal Pashtuns and Urban Pashtuns? Urbanization means Punjabization in Pakistan because of the circumstances which force you to become Punjabized for your survival eg learning Urdu, being non-political etc. The Pashtuns living in Urban centres cannot be blamed for this.

1. Nobody is talking about whether its bad or good. neither we are saying that females go into prostitution out of free will. Indeed there must be some reasons and grave situation.

2. Nobody is denying presence of prostitution in other parts of Pakistan.

3. yes you are right many singers from Peshawar and even from Swat are into the business.

4. Not even the most conservative men are 100% against prostitution even they go to prostitutes so no one is saying that Peshawar was so much against it.

5. Ask anyone in Peshawar about the word Gilumjum(you can spell it differently as well) and there you will find the reason and roots of the understanding of the word there.


So all in all it was just for information and not comparing good or bad but its also a reality that prostitution galore in Peshawar due to arrival of Persian speaking immigrants

Most of those farsiwan women that came as refugees were forced into the practice, they were widows and the peshawar men were to baghyrata to protect them. Pakistan is such a baghyrata country they give permits to open up brothels and permits to charge riba.
