actually the whole fabric of afghanistan is in Pashto.Originally posted by Master Khan View Postthank god your natonal athem is in Pashto lol, lets hope pashtuns keep thier langauge alive in Afghanistan or else they might change the National anthem to Farsi aswell.
farsi has only gained momentum because there are medical books in farsi and nto available in pashto.
and as far as mainstream media goes,Pashto is loved by all Afghans.
Farsiwaans even have their own Pashto dialect now.

It is not about tajiks that they want us to speak farsi, they actually don't really care they just are really good at promoting there own language and pashtuns don't do that. Actualy the whole thing that farsi is so popular is because of pashtuns them self, pashtuns let farsi to be the educational language on every university and actually it's only now that it is changing. In stead of devoloping and promoting there own we just used farsi because it was easier and a lots of literature from Iran was available at that time.Originally posted by afgpower View Postthats such a shame its because pashtuns dont do enough for their language. these tadjiks want that all pashtuns speak only farsi

It's become very convenient for Pakhtuns to blam others for Thier own ill.
Farsiwan don't forced Farsi on Pakhtuns but Pakhtun adopted voulentarly.
Look at farah province, use to 100 % pakhto speaking province now it's only 20% I can bring you 100 like this example.
If Farsi is rich becose farsiwan love respect Thier language and hertage unlike pakhtun who blow up thier few poet graves to please others can u c the deffernce or not.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We have more important things to solve in Afghanistan before the language issue.

Herat also have larg number of pashtuns with no pashtu.while kabul is called the graveyard of pashtu.
if farsiwasn promoting their language so whats wrong with that?
Pashtuns are the one to get blame for all the mess.
The media is farsi and many ,,shamlawar,,,pashtana invested in farsi cus more money.
Farsibans will do everything to impose their language on poashtuns but whats wrong with pashtuns?
what their so called kings did in more then to hundered years rule.
Sometime i think mula hotak was the greatest pashtun in the history of afghanistan when it comes to the status of pashtu.Even i strongly oppose to his movement and paki conection of his talibs.
I admire mula hotak for his courage and brave step by declaring pashtu the national language.
pashtu was never recognised like parsi in the hsitory of afghanistan till this day..
all of the above those who can,nt speak pashtu are not pashtun.

Support pashto language and greater pukhtoonkhwa.

^ How hard it is but it is true, pashtu have a second position in Afghanistan, it is actually after the taliban that a lot of farsiban begane to learn pashtu before that only pashtu peopel and some who have studied knew pashto the rest didn;t understand a singel word.

i dont know where you were bron or where you get your info from but it seems the same party line.
Pashto has been first in some places and second in other places.
in kabul herath balkh etc pashto might not be so much in but in kandahar, jalalabad, kunar, laghman, paktia schools universities etc ar ein pashto.
compared to the 80's Pasto is coming back stronger than ever but offcourse you will always keep complaining no matter what.

I don't know. My grandfather is Nazikmir Khan whom was a famous merchant in Afghanistan from the province of Kunduz. I doubt my family was forcefully moved there, though perhaps so is not true with other pasthun tribes. Yes, in Kunduz ( A Northern Afghan Province) most pashtuns are bilingual or even trilingual. They can speak Pashto, Dari, or Uzbeki as well. Most have not lost pashto, at least most that I know. However, there are many who speak Dari more, only because there are more Dari speaking ethnicities in the northern provinces, but at home they speak their mother-tongue which is pashto.Last edited by pashtanajan; 09-30-2011, 10:05 PM.True wisdom comes to each of us when we realize how little we understand about life, ourselves, and the world around us. - Socrates

Yes i'm a momand/mohmand from the area named speenzar in Kunduz. My grandfather is Haji Nazikmir Khan, he was the leader and grand malik of the zakheil tribe. Also, he was a notable landowner and merchant in Afghanistan.Originally posted by EnzargulYou're Konduzi? Are you a Nasher Kharoti?
I love the Uzbek language.
Unfortunately, I never had the chance to meet him as he died before I was born. Oh yes, and Nasher Kharoti's niece (may she rest in peace) was my uncle's wife.
