Its no different than when Baygham and I were going at eachother and when he answered you regarding the rambunctious nature of boys. We gave you a reasonable explanation and didnt just dismiss your question as sexism.

So I am just looking for an explanation regarding aforementioned behavior. I mean take for example the insult to Kakargirl regarding obssession with nordic looks. She was told she looked nordic... there is no apparent commentary she makes regarding nordic being the standard of beauty. So why is it that she gets insulted about being obsessed with nordic looks? For all you know she may think that ghanem wraang is the standard of beauty. But she is ipso facto condemned.

Yes, its also interesting to note that most marriages fail in the west...jee I wonder why.

But let's break down your "observation".

Emkhan, Adamyousufzai, Unknown Prince, Fahd, Barakzai Abdali, Catya Sher and I have all given NEGATIVE responses to YOUR view.

Our reaction was in response to YOUR NEGATIVE reaction to Kakargirl.

Now about the pakhtanas with NEGATIVE views of Kakar girl are two: You and feroza banu.
However, one pakhtana, shisha, posted a POSITIVE response to Kakar girl.
So that pretty much evens out.

Roshina, you FAIL as a scholar. Your observation is biased! and it goes to show that you do not have an analytical mind but are only base your judgments by emotions.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it

there is a farsi saying :doz sar e koloy khud par dara. thief has a feather on his cap.

It's the same with roshina ... she obviously lacks modesty.

Actually, in all due respect, your observation does not hold at all. You imply that a few of your fans here are representative of 1) all girls here, and 2) pashtun girls in general?? It is weak, especially since most of your fans besides you, feroza banu, and dzj don't even participate in discussions AT ALL.

Do you, Feroza Banu, and DZJ represent the viewpoints of all girls on this forum? Are you three a fair representation of all pashtun girls in the US or UK?

            I doubt it LOL

There is a funny history behind women and cigarettes.

Early in the 1900s, Edward Bernays, nephew of Dr. Sigmund Freud, was hired by a cigarette company to boost sales. Back then it was taboo for women to smoke. Ed figured that if he could break the taboo in some symbolic way he could get the other half of the population to buy cigarettes. So he came up with this ingenious marketing scheme based on the eros theory of his uncle. As at the time women were protesting for their social rights, he staged a fake demonstration and got newspaper journalists and photographers to come to the scene. The women in the protest were hired by him and instructed to march down the street with banners against "Suffrage." On cue they were to pull out cigarette boxes from their panty hoses and light up a cigarette as a symbol of "protest". Next day the photo of women smoking in public was published with the words "protest" in them. As such women began to smoke as a sign of protestation to male domination.

Isn't that funny? Roshina thinks this is something women just started to do of their own accord, like the way women in the 1920s began to cut their hair into a short bob and wore shorter skirts and danced to jazz. She wants pashtanas to relive those same thrills and go through the same "revolution". Little does our scholar know that this association of cigarette and protest was invented by a MAN. Oh, the irony....

Great comments by some of the men who responded.
Alchemist, that is SO FUNNY about the origins of American womens' smoking addiction.
The bottom line perhaps everywhere is that cigarettes equaled Forbidden.
Hence they were used by overly self-conscious women to make their statement.
                Then became habit.
Women around the world copied as always whatever styles initiated by American women, unfortunately.
                Therefore how many smoke today?
Too many -- even with supposed warnings about risks to health, especially to unborn children when the mother smokes cigarettes.

If women want to follow the Pied Piper dancing his way to Hell, who can stop them?
But sometimes a few go along with the crowd RELUCTANTLY.
They FEEL there is something wrong with current fads or habits like this.
But they don't have the moral strength to refuse.

It's this intermediary group which may benefit from healthy examples such as Kakargirl.
It WAS nice that Shisha came forward and agreed, despite all the peer pressure from the active women users here to band together against a nice representative of Pashtuns.

Barakzai Abdali came forward in a gentlemanly manner to refute Roshina by
                presenting FACTS.

Roshina never produces a single FACT.
She instead pulls out the bag every time
                tired, weak
arguments which incorporate cliches of the Feminist Movement
                in America circa 1960.

Roshina's arguments never to fail to ooze smugness of the superiority of women over men; or let's say: of herself over other so-called
                un-enlightened women.

In the general paradigm, women who dare disagree with The New Liberal Agenda for Western Female are disparaged by feminists like Roshina as behind the times.
                That's at best.
At worst, they could be dubbed supporters of that [ dread !] concept of "patriarchy"

I see this as the overarching dynamic in the words carelessly flung out by Roshina and fellow thugs Ferocious et al.

                    Agreed!!!
Women should know her responsibilities and her limits and men should know theirs, there will be no problem then. Everything will be peaceful.

Hey Kakargirl khoraay, Dont listen to these haters' voices. Just refer 'em all to Miss Taylor Swift, lol. In the town near where I was raised, she's a big country singer. All these side show janes that get on you like R&B, rap, and hip hop (aka trashy muzak) so they might not get it, but Miss Swift answers 'em for you

                          i have two questions..
what right does a non pakhtana have over deciding who is and who isn't a real pakhtana??
why should anyone even bother to live up to their definition of what a pakhtana is supposed to be??
first explain to us who you are and then tell us what/who we are. there is a vague difference between being a mystery and being a no body.
personally i think catya is a lazy uncredited journalist sent on a spying mission for which she didn't even bother to do any research.
sometimes i can't decide if it would be more rewarding for me to pity her or just be disgusted with the amount of desperateness with which she runs from member to member..for "back up".

a little confidence and self respect never killed anyone. for the amount of bragging you do about having seen of the world...one would expect a little more than you put on the display..

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

I don't know why the Muslim morality mainly centers around two things i.e. women and wine with no regard/concern for other important issues like social justice, equality, fair-play, etc. All it seems, it tends to reduce the status of a woman to mere a slave with the only duty to please/serve her man...

I think this points to the tribalistic/feudalistic foundations of Muslim moralty. In such a mindset a woman is considered a property ...and of course properry should be vigilantly guarded for if left alone, there is a risk of it being lost...

I think in old tribal and feudal cultures, a strict control over women was crucial to ensure cohesion of the clan or the extended family and the retention of ancestral or acquired property within the clan structure...
