It's the TONE of the words that comes through with some of these women posters here which makes an objective reader recoil.

This applies especially to Shayesta's angry remarks, belittling Alchemist where it is superfluous and insulting ; to Standard Pompous Darkina Rants which few members care to read as they all drone on the same way. They add little or nothing to a discussion.

Catya dear, since i fall under this category i will say something.

We don't all like to post paragraphs and paragraphs in response to a topic. Especially a topic like this where there is a clear division between both sides (which i dislike). I'm here in this thread learning & listening to both sides. I will thank any thread that i agree with 98-100%. So please don't take silence and say "oh well that person's silence = they are against me so boo them all". Don't mistake anyone's silence for agreement of any side.
and by the way... i think tones on both sides were pretty negative (minus some people). We should be discussing, not fighting lol this is not war.
And another thing, i don't think anyone has the right to say that there are not "real" pukhtanas on PF.
Am I not a pukhtana?

is naatki not a pukhtana?
is jasmine not a pukhtana?
mahzala? mayana? Palwasha? Nazia?
Laila, Feroza, shaysta not pukhtanas?
(and the list will go on in the future da khaira....)
So, why do you (not you Catya, but anyone saying there are no pukhtanas) not consider any women here as real pukhtanas?

When you say "Islamic morals this..." or "Islamic morals that..." you pretty much question the character of my prophet.
You can't even influence your neighbors, let alone a village. But imagine your self in Arabia in his time. Women to them had less worth than even their property. Up until a 100 years ago, women in the west couldn't even own property. Just try and put your self in his position, and see what he did for women in a culture where female babies were buried alive as soon as they were born. And he changed the culture of an ignorant people within 20 years, not only in arabia, but the whole world followed suit. Can you do that? Can you talk of morals and ghairat and what have you...when you can't even change one person's mind? You want to talk about adequacy? Do you find your self adequet to pass judgment on him?

You can critique culture all you want. I will read it with a clear mind and be totally disengaged from it. I might even agree with you, if you had made some profound observation about human nature, but don't you dare slander Islam like that again. I hope for us to be just as friendly as we were that day...even if electronically.

Well one things is clear, the person I will back and support will give the people what they want

You consider yourself to be the true representative of all pashtoon women. you are strict on pashtoon codes and you follow it, right? what if you end up with an abusive husband who beats you up daily, he abuses you emotionally and physically. You can't live in such a circumstance and you end up asking for a divorce, would you say, would that be enough to label you as a bad pashtana? or is that living with an abusing husband and taking all the crap is how pashtana should live?

I suspect a red paint brush would be pulled out on the offending husband. His fate would be sealed.

on a final note in this post, (i hope you think about my questions and answer them in a more comprehensive way), you belong to a royal family, you do not represent ordinary pashtoon women, because ordinary pashtoon women like myself, don't belong to royal families.
