Edge, you and Wrayun are kind of trying to prove Pashtun ethnicity as an extension of Arab race...No one is going to accept that unless based on evidence (genetic, archeological, linguistic, anthropological,...)...Your whims would not change facts....

Not at all, genetically related? Possibly, Culturally related? Possibly but claiming we "extended" from Arabs? I do not recall ever making allusions of the sort.

Where did I ever make that statement?

        Toramana, as for evidence

        please explain this.

The findings of this study reveal many common genetic markers found among the Iranian people from the Tigris to the areas west of the Indus. This correlates with the Iranian languages spoken from the Caucasus to Kurdish areas in the Zagros region and eastwards to western Pakistan and Tajikistan and parts of Uzbekistan in Central Asia. The extensive gene flow is perhaps an indication of the spread of Iranian-speaking people, whose languages are now spoken mainly on the Iranian plateau and adjacent regions. These results relate the relationships of Iranian people with each other, while other comparative testing reveals some varied origins for Iranian people such as the Kurds, who show genetic ties to the Caucasus at considerably higher levels than any other Iranian people except the Ossetians, as well as links to Europe and Semitic populations that live in close proximity such as the Arab and Jews.[72][73][74][75]

Quote Pashtun-specific genetic study...instead of general study on Iranian people...Western Iran etc. have been heavily influenced by Arabs during their reign....

What is upsetting is that, you are trying to triviliase Pashtun identity as if they didn't have the ability to develop their own values and had to borrow every thing from Arabs...that is not fair ...Edge....

I've realized that the world is hard to live in because even those that claim to live on an evidence based reality will deny your air tight case above.

You consistently quote stuff that suit your argument, even when it's from a source as weak as wiki.

There is no common exceptional genetic marker existing from the Tigris to the Indus. This is all baloney.

Wrayun intstead of trying to make Pashtuns an appendage to Arabs you should rather try to integrate into Pashtuns....You are no longer an Arab now...
                        This is what I said:

However, what the author did is take similar cultural traits within two communities and tried to hint a genetic connection. Which is no different than what most subscribers of Bani-Israeli theory of Pukhtoon origin do, or any other. There is Islamic influence over Pukhtoon culture and heritage, but a genetic connection is probably very minor. Esply the ancient Pukhtoons and those that come under the Karlani branch.

Reread the bold part, until it becomes very clear.

Yes I know I am a Pukhtoon, as much as you are today. No one here said Pukhtoons are Arabs, or Arabs are Pukhtoons. I was specifically talking about similarities, which are possible. I would never want Arabs to be Pukhtoons, or Pukhtoons to be Arabs. If that was the case I wouldn't call myself a Pukhtoon in the first place. I have a huge issue with Pukhtoons claiming to be Arabs, when they are not. For aesthetic purposes, I can understand, but in factuality, it's utter nonsense.

On the other hand your logic, as well as Maseed's, is flawed. For example, Semite is a linguist term, so is Aryan, or Iranian. These are not races. The human race is divided into 3 main categories, Negroid, Caucasoid, and Mongoloid. Arabs have Caucasoid and some Negriod admixture. Pukhtoons have Caucasoid and some Mongoloid admixture. The same goes for Persians today i.e. Tajiks, they have Caucasoid and some Mongoliod admixture. The Uzbeks are extremely mixed.

Majority of the Israelis, today, are Caucasoids, they are Whites, with blue eyes, blond hair and what not....however they are SEMITES, because they speak the SEMETIC language HEBREW, and follow the SEMETIC CULTURE of ISRAELITES. Arabs in Jordan, Syria, Lebonan, Iraq etc. are all predominantly Caucasoid, but they are all considered SEMITES, because they speak the SEMETIC language ARABIC and follow the SEMETIC culture of the ARABS.

Pukhto is an Iranian language, but so is Punjaabi, Pothwari, Hindko, and I am sure both you and Maseed have a problem with these cousins of ours. And they don't have as many blue/green or light features as Pukhtoons or Afghans. In fact there is no evidence that original Pukhtoon speakers, who are probably closer to other Indic groups like the Rajputs, Gujjars, Jatts, had these light features. I can post pictures of Pukhtoons with curl Afro style hairs, and dark skin color. Based on that, your argument, just on looks alone, is flawed.

Here is Nek Mohmmad Wazir, relative of Maseed:

                        Here is his daughter:

Do you notice the Mongoloid features?

                        Hakimullah Maseed

                        Baitullah Maseed

Do they look Aryan? What is Aryan?

These are Mr. Maseed own cousins. So anyone can play the picture game. But I never took Maseed serious nor am I about to. On the other hand Bacha, you should know more about these things as we have discussed them before. Don't let your personal grudge against Arabs cloud your rational.

BTW, here are Negriods with light eyes and features:

These features are genetic mutations, anyone can have them. They can be triggered by any abnormality. White Nordics are overly mutated Northern Indians. As much as they like people to buy the crap about Aryan invasion of India, it's turning around the other way. Aryans, Indo-Aryans, went out of India in towards the colder atmosphere where such genetic mutations were possible. That means that original Aryans, Indo-Aryans, and Iranians, might looked very similar to modern day Rajputs, Punjaabis, Jatts, Gujjars and what not. Aryans might not had blond hair or blue eyes. These mutations are very recent, something like 10000 years old.

For a start Punjabi, potwar is an Indic language (btw that doesn't mean inferior).

Your theory about the original Pashtuns being of Indian origin is hysterical. In fact the theory belongs to one Stephen Oppenheimer, and it's highly bogus. It is just a theory, a contemporary one to please the Indians (the pan-Indians). Unfortunately (for you), Oppenheimer's theory places the origins to Pakistan, not India. But you too have a bias in discarding the other more established theories, and selecting this one.
