i am sorry to break it to you guys and this might cause some of you (nokia) *cough* to get a heart attack...but "krakah" taken from the word "krik" is a pure Dari/Farsi word.
it is more commonly used by Darizubaans of Afghanistan and Farsizubaans of Iran than in pashto...
and its original meaning is "disgust"... it doesn't mean hate...
krik / krakah is used for a very disgusting thing... something dirty, something untouchable.
when someone says "zma dagha shai na krakah kezhi/razi" it means i am disgusted by this thing.Last edited by Guest; 10-19-2010, 03:49 PM.

So much about HATE....how about something more uplifting like versions of I love you, I like you, You mean so much to me, What would I do without you, the sun shines in my heart because of you......Allah certainly loves me a lot, because Allah brought you into my life....

it is always "sta" when u are talking about a posession, its never "taa" but for convenience we just ommit the "s" in the beginning.Originally posted by abubaker View Posti always thought it was ''ta sakha/sara'' not ''sta sakha/sara''
sta is used when talking about some ones possessions/third person ie, zma sta spai na khwakigi
zma sta plaar dir bad razi
zma staa khor sara dira meena da
the correct and formal form is saying "sta sara "... not "taa sara"
kabuli pashto replace "sta" with "de taa"...
The formal Pashto : "za sta khor yam"
Kabuli pashto: "za de taa khor yam"
Formal Pashto: "za sta sara bazaar ta zam"
Kabuli dielect: "za de taa sara bazaar ta zam"
Conversational Pashto : "za taa sara bazaar ta zam"
conversational pashto makes alot of words smaller for convenience.
here when u are saying "i will go to bazaar with you" you are talking about someone's posession too... "with you" means "in your company" which is again talking about posession of the person.

To us Kraka is a pure pashto word used by our scholars, i found it in pashto dictionary Daryab ........baaqi wallahu alam....
Feroza baano: can you tell me what does the following sentence mean?
Za' sta na mutaasira shom........Na soz sho na saaz sho,

I am not sure how well versed you are in Dari, because any person who would know a little Dari would know Krakah = krik (in Dari) which means "disgust"
i can list about 1000 other so called "pure" pashto words that are rooted in Dari.
and as far as word "hate" is concerned... the word Krakah can NOT be used to express this word... it means "disgusting"... u can definitely say "karborray na me kraka kezhi"... I am disgusted by lizards.
i can guarantee you that in any dielect of Pashto in Afghanistan no one uses "krakah" to describe hate...it is used to describe disgust...

^mutasir is taken from the word Taaseer which means (effect) or asar...(i am sure u know)
it can be used in a couple of contexts as far as i know...
I am effected by you (what you said effected me)
I am inspired by you (to do something)
I am touched by you
i am moved by you

We would use "Nafrat" in this context.. "Sta sara Nafrat laram" / "Sta Nafrat kawam"
or, to avoid the usage of that word, we can also say, "Sta sakha mi bad raazi" which doesn't mean the exact same thing, but is close enough ("I despise you", as Feroza Khor eloquently described)
As for the rest, I fully agree with all that has been said by Feroza.

Daa zma lewanay Zrra gorah, daa sta lewanee Mina..
Za ba da Sahra warnakam da Iran pa Golestan,
Dalta za yao & yakta yam, halta zar zma pa Shaan.
