Chinese girls speak Pashto
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

For some reason every Pashtu speaker I remember back in Tajikistan was number one in Russian language I always thought they were somehow Cummunist lovers who learn pashtu in Afghanistan during Cummunist era but later that i noticed that Russian language in core is Slavic and slavic languages has been influnced by Saka language which as affiliation with Alan and modern ossetic languages which roots back to Pakhtrian (Bactrian/awestic) Languages.Last edited by Nick; 09-14-2010, 02:48 AM.Happy Ramadan everyone. Good Question but can you ask the same question to a friend of mine whom I have known for years and his Father owns Orakzai studio who lived in Toronto, and back in old days where not famous made some low quality videos and afghan movie dramas. I knew them long back when his father went in and out of Moscow. Yes a young man name Nawid although he can't speak a word of Pashtu yet Orakzai is his last name. Why don't you ask Naim Popul, and how about many other famous singers, who can't sing in Pashtu. Well I can name so many famous "Zais" and "Khels" who covers this whole "Afghan Music Industry" and majority of them can't speak Pashtu or don't speak Pashtu at home.Originally posted by JasmineI don't understand how you call yourself a farsiwaan when you are an Ahmadzai.
I am not Pashtun, because I don't speak Pashtu, and I love My Dari as much as you love your Pashtu language. I want my Dari language to be an official language of afghanistan, just as you want Pashtu to be an Official language of Afghanistan. I take pride from My language Dari because my believe is that Dari gave our past identity, and early Islamic history, (Pre-Mongolian era) before the rise of Nationalism or sacterism, Just as you take pride from your Pashtu language that gave Afghanistan its new identity, and recent history.
Just as you believe Pashtu is your native Language that roots to Awesta and ancient languages. My believe is that Dari is native because we Afghans have made lot of sacrifices and also important into developing this language as it stands today.
I am Afghan and Afghans have many tribes and many languages. I am not lingumastic into thinking that this language is better than another. However my notion is natural towards Pashtu I love Pashtu and respect Pashtu because majority of us Ahmadzai's speak Pashtu. Sometimes I think my forefather might also have been Pashtu speaking, unfortunately when I grandfather died I did not ask, he left me with 14 names of his forefather and he said we are rooted from one famous Ahmadzai a man who killed Timur Lang's son's General who ruled Mazar-e-Sharif. So that gives me an Idea that we might of been Balkhis at one time.Last edited by Nick; 09-14-2010, 03:16 AM.Happy Ramadan everyone. SOrry I kinda took it off when question was asked so I don't want to continue here.Originally posted by GoPashtunGoNick your post tells me that you are Pashtun by ethnicity and Dari is what you speak linguistically.
Pashto is not used as a medium to define who is Pashtun. This logic is flawed and I can show you show. If you belong to a Pashtun tribe and have Pashtun blood and seek to learn Pashto, you are Pashtun.

Last time I saw an Naim Popal interview in Tolo TV, he identified himself as a Pukhtoon. Why don't you ask Naim Popul, and how about many other famous singers, who can't sing in Pashtu.
Isn't it sad we never made the same sacrifices towards Pukhto? My believe is that Dari is native because we Afghans have made lot of sacrifices and also important into developing this language as it stands today.Gar Jahanum Sakhtam Ferdaws Ham Mesazamat

There were lots of scrifices made to develope this Pakhtu language as well, perhabs maybe you reflect on history, the struggle started with Pir Roshan, and in the next 100 years thousends died and Afghan tribes were all divided between those of supporting Afghan self identity (nationalism) and those sided with currupt Mughals.Isn't it sad we never made the same sacrifices towards PukhtoHappy Ramadan everyone. Not only that Naim can't speak Pashtu I saw his interview as well as in his concerts. At least Mangal sings in Pashtu.Originally posted by Shayesta View Post^ So because he hasn't got any Pukhto album he isn't allowed to identify himself as a Pukhtoon? Now don't tell me Mangal is a Pukhtoon for that reason only!? :OHappy Ramadan everyone. ^ Did he in any of his interviews you followed mention his background? Because the interview I followed, there he stated he is a Popalzai and his roots lay in Kandahar, because he was asked about his background.
And about Mangal, he is not a Pukhtoon. That's what I was trying to refer at.Gar Jahanum Sakhtam Ferdaws Ham Mesazamat
