The information you have is wrong. You should read: "Germanic Standardizations: Past to Present" [http://www.amazon.com/Germanic-Stand...dp/1588114376]

In Arabic, prepositions changes with the pronouns e.g fiya [in -first person], fika [in - second person], fihi [in - third person]; Pashto uses adpositions [a combination of preposition and postposition] e.g. da/la ... sara and these do not change with tense or gender.
What I wrote above was based on my experience. It was not a general statement. It makes a difference.
So for me the knowledge of Arabic and Persian grammar was useful and helped a lot. I didn't have to figure out what is the meaning of "asnad", "afkar" because I knew Arabic plural form. The same with reading some Arabic expressions in Pashto texts because I knew how to read sun and moon letters. Reading the famous Pashto poem about Amir Kror I could easily recognize in which parts the author applied the syntax typical for Persian language, or why in the language of diplomacy "ambassador" is still caller "safir-e kabir" and not "kabir safir"...
I am not a native Pashto speaker. Yet I try to be a conscious user of this language.

I am not a native speaker either. Am learning the language but since I learnt other languages, I started understanding how grammar works, thats why just pointed it out friend Each experience differs, all my friends tell me to use "pure" Pashto since I use a lot of Farsi but friends on this forum are telling me to use Farsi so I am just confused.
