A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Of course I do. Majority of Hindokwans come from pashtun tribes anyways.

Every human is brother of another human without any discrimination of race , language or color but Pashtuns being a separate ethnic group from the same racial stock have their distinction being a unique ethno-linguistic group of about 70 million people.

Those Hindko speakers like Jadoon, Tareen, Swatis etc like Seraiki speaking Nyazis and Dari speaking Muhammadzai are Pashtuns as they come from Pashtun ethnic origin but those like Qureshi, Gujar, Abbasi etc who may speak Pashto but as they do not come from the same stock cannot be termed as Pashtuns. However they are our brothers but not Pashtun brothers otherwise the distinction of being Pashtun and non Pashtun will disappear.

I think there are no problems between hindko speakers and pashtuns any where. The indian mohajirs in peshawer pose as hindkowan and punjabis and express deep hatred for pashtuns....i came to know about it because right now we live in peshawer...they speak khalis urdu at homes, are short and extremely dark skinned...ask them about altaf bhai and they would begin admiring MQM and Altaf bhai with enthusiasm....their youngsters, black-skinned, wearing jeans and riding on bikes are often involved in street crimes....i observed that in gulburg and landi arbab areas.

Pashtun Language Map and Manipulation of Pashtun Number by Governments

I bring a problem here. As we all know that most of the population of Afghanistan (Around 60%) is pashtun, and more than 20% of the population of Pakistan is Pashtun governments on both sides of the border tends to shows that number on the lower side. We know that majority of the population of Torghar, Battagram, Shangla, Ogai and Ghazi Tehsil of Mansehra, Tank, Kulachi Tehsil etc are all majority pashto speaking, but various publications says otherwise. Even though i have been to these places and know for sure that these palces are pashto speaking. Same goes for Afghanistan Balkh, Wardak, Ghazni, Herat, and Kabul are majority pashtun provinces yet alot of publications (Speacially western) says other wise. What are your views on that.
I consider Hindkowans, Saraiki and Dari speaking pashtuns as pashtuns, as long as they have same aspiration as the majority of pashtun race. But if you are a pathan you need to know pashto, i myself am a thrid generation punjabi, but we speak pashto at home and are proud of it.

It seems that almost the whole of Afghanistan is Pashtun!
Also interesting that AimaqS are majority in Ghor,Herat and Baghdais.

Nice map. Probably the most legit one i have seen on the net. However i don't believe ghor is aimaq. That is a pashtun province, also what does the grey represent?
