Wasnt Jinnah a Rajput Former Hindu? was he not born in India?

Jana, but in Pakistan do they not sell good hygenic food?

    Unhygienic foodstuff causing diseases

    http://www.nation.com.pk/pakistan-ne...using-diseases

Why do Pakistan spend all their time spreading lies and disinformation? Bacha Khan was buried in Jalalabad not India, he was born in Pakhtunkhwa not in Gujarat like Jinnah.

    Kind Regards

I was once told by a Punjabi Pakistani that when India dropped bombs, the Punjabi Pakistani would grap them when they landed on the ground. I guess we dont see it now a days, but these kind of lunancy is very high in Pakistan.

Secondly, I heard India makes some very nice Beef Madras in India. I ve seen Indians who eat beef with Muslims.

If you read my post i said these are minor things which i mentioned as there due to fear the religious Muslim scholars are forced to issue fatwas saying slaughter cows on Eidul Azha is forbidden just because hindu do not slaughter it.

I dont know if you know this or not but in Dehli beef is banned.

As far as burial is concerned due to urban development space is being snatched from Muslims which is dedicated for graveyards and now we heard the Indians are telling Muslims to cremate the dead bodies instead of burying them as the Christian community had already been forced to do so.

          OK:
          a) this is not a thread on India, if you want to discuss India, please make a seperate thread, we will all participate.
          b) show us links to prove these claims. You have to substantiate them
          c) banning of beef probably has more to do with sensitivities of hindu religion than anti-muslim feeling. It is like pork for muslims.

Pls do the same for the thread about Minerals found in Afghanistan where you are unneccesarily bringing ISI into it

Sure i will whenever i opened that thread.

Pork is prohibited only for Muslims and NOT for non-Muslims, if anyone wants to eat it there is no ban on its sale they can eat it. Whereas in dehli its beef is banned completely and you can be arrested for slaughter/selling cow meat.

Sensitivity ??? what sensitivity do you think Muslims should change their religion/ ritual for sensitivities of others ?? After this beef issue they are even promoting the idea that Hindu-Muslim marriages are allowed.

P.S : As per advice of Son of Mountains i am taking a break from this discussion: Cheers

Hahaha jana that is not the case in Saudi Arabia and many muslim countries. So your theory and logic can be disproven. Now stop diverting and bringing in propaganda.

Let us go back to the key topic. Official status for pashto.

The pointless pursuit in one-up-manship with India has done the Pakistani establishment no favours in all its years. Its a tired tactic of avoiding home truths.

Simply, what is clear here, is that Pashtoon demand for the right to protect their language has turned into the usual farce of knock India because Pakistan is better and we should all be grateful.

Many Pashtoons genuinely want to strengthen the status of their language in Pakistan. They have every right to ask for this without India being dragged into this. Consider that there is a very thin line of difference culturally speaking between India and the eastern half of Pakistan.

The greater difference is in the western half of Pakistan and the paradox is that it is this difference that has long irritated the Pakistani establishment.

I suggest that we return to the thread title that is about the debate on the support for the strengthening of Pashto as the learning and business medium in Pashtoonkhwa.

To get back to the topic. What do you all think of borrowing some ideas of infrastructure in terms of language from the french? They seem to have a very uniform and centralized approach to maintaining french. Should we follow suit and take some of their approaches? Or an alternate, if so what?

L'Académie française is great because whilst the reality is that languages are changing around us and that new technologies bring forwards new words that have to be absorbed into the languages around us, the French Academy will only support words that have been agreed.

For example, a computer mouse is a souris (literally a mouse). In Urdu, in Arabic etc. people just use the word mouse. Would a Pashto Academy change that to mangak???

Pashto is in a much stronger position than Kurdish which is beginning to fragment into regional languages that are written differently and that have different grammars and vocabularies and so cannot be understood. We have our differences in Pashto, so we need a standard, but we have a shared language and script. This is great - just need to tidy up some spelling rules.

Interestingly technology and the media can really help us standardise.

Great reply, and I am happy you mentioned Kurds. They are in a terrible situation, and we Pashtuns have managed to keep key components intact in our nation. However, we have to set a precedent before it could potentially get worse. Maybe we could delve into this in detail and come up with a research paper. Who is in?

Shayesta khor, this is what these creatures 're like. If they can't justify their own failure then they "ll drag Afghanistan, India, Israel, etc into this.

It is a good demand but we should start from basic step that is to make pashto the provincial langauge of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and balochistan. We were successful in renaming our province (thanks to ANP and PPP) which means though dedication and hard work we can also make pashto the official langauge of KP, and i am sure next step of ANP will be this. Just like sindhis we have to make ourselves sincere to Pashto langauge then we can achieve some thing.

                              Dear Luffy

Look what happened yesteday during parliament when Punjabis insulted Pashtun and Sindhi politicians over the Kalabagh Dam issue, how can we deal with those ignorant punjabis who consider anything not in their interests as the work of Indian agents and Traitors.

Before Pakistan was even Invented by the British Colonists, were we Pashtuns not alive? Of course we continued to survive. If Pakistan breaks, Iam sure Punjabis and Sindhis and Mojjahirs from India wont find it difficult to go back to India, but what will Pashtuns do? Will we continue to fight eachother for others? or shall we produce a good contigency plan for future purposes if the break up does occur? You tell me, Do you think Pakistan will allow Pushto to be our official language, the whole renaming issue is still being debated by Punjabis and Hazarawal people, Pakistanis still dont accept it, go onto Pak forums titled Pakhtunkhwa and read what they have to say about it all, and you will see the hatred they have for Pashtuns.

                              Kind Regards

                              Amanullah Mahsud

^We failed to keep brotherly relationships with people of our own province the hazaraywals then how can we complain of punjab and their interference in our affairs? If pashtuns were self-sustaining and responsible people then i would have thought of independence but my life time observation says some thing else.
