Hello! I am new to this forum.

I just wanted to make a request: If there is anyone here who wants to be a volunteer to translate some Christian videos from English into Pashto, please message me.

    Thank you!!

(To moderators: I hope it's okay for me to make this request on these forums. Please let me know if I need to make any changes. Thanks.)

      Well said.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

NATO needs many Pashto translators these days. There's also a rise in the need of mercenaries in Afghanistan for the protection of warlords. I've seen how highly paid these translators and mercenaries are.

          They're making a killing!

Have a little bit of tolerance although that can least be expected from the lot your types belong to. Why are you digging out his personal information------ to behead him for his presumed apostasy? Many Christians have translated Quran into English, Latin, etc. centuries ago without really converting to Islam. But I know the lot doesn't have stomach for alternative views and explanations or even what is contained in the ideology they follow.

The whole Punjabi army is a British colonial construction recruited as mercenary force. So think before you vomit nonsense like this.

I am not insulting anyone... just stating a known fact. Afghanistan is filled with US mercenary groups and other mercenary fighters who fight for warlords. I know because I knew a soldier who was offered a job position as a bodyguard and manager of the bodyguard team for a Warlord. He maintained security for him.

                  Nothing to be offended about.

                    Hi everyone,

I appreciate your rapid responses to my request!

Somebody asked if I'm a former Muslim. My answer is no, I've always been a Christian. There is more I could tell you about my background. However, I didn't come here to debate theological issues, but to simply ask if anyone would like to translate some Christian material.

I realize that the majority of Pashtuns follow Islam. That being said, if there is anyone who would like to help out, please contact me. If not, then don't.

Somebody asked how I can be contacted. If you wish to contact me, a private message would be fine.

                    Thank you!

No, they are more general videos with Christian messages. Pashto isn't the only translation I'm looking for. Muslims aren't even referred to in the videos. Other people have volunteered for Ukrainian, Italian, Indonesian, et cetera. Pashto is just one of many languages the videos can be translated into.
