Please don't say Happy "Independence" Day to me
Our beloved Afghanistan is far from being free

It's been nine long years now since the Taliban fell
yet most of our Afghanistan is still a living hell

They say we're a democracy now and should rejoice
we have elections but do we really have a choice?

Explosions instead of fireworks light up our country's sky
as more and more of our innocent Afghan people die

So please tell me what is their for us to celebrate today
as our people are killed by the Taliban and the USA?

Sangar brother there are all kind of people among Taliban, some good and some bad. But the truth is that Many of those Taliban that you and I know, do kill innocent people. Few of them are good.

Sangar did you read what the PF members who just recently came back from Afghanistan had to say about how Afghans feel about the Taliban?

Almost all the people I listened to don't want the Taliban back! They are pretty negative about them and says they are not Muslims. I heard some people say they behead people and its not allowed in Islam to halal humans... At the same time they don't want Americans either but they know that this government will collapse if the Americans leaves and people would never believe any other government again because the last 30-40 years nothing has worked...

Taliban though is being hated by pretty much entire Jalalabad, even more than NATO. Many elders were talking of signing contracts where they promise to not support Taliban in the future and report any information about the Taliban so they can be caught.

Yes. They are not neutral. Plus they themselves revealed their views about taliban before they went to afghanistan. So it is not strange to see the same people returning from Afghanistan only to confirm whatever they already had in their mind before going there.

And they are "kharijiyan" meaning probably from rich families who are in touch with the rich upper class.

And..they did not conduct any serveys.

So their opinion is useless propaganda. Which doesn't reflect the reality in Afghanistan.

The reality is, NATO and the puppet regime are loosing the war. More people are joining taliban than ever before. And Taliban are more successful than ever before.

WIthout a widespread support for Taliban in the areas where they are dominant it would be absolutely impossible for Taliban to achieve success in the battle field.

Plus read the ICOS report regarding Taliban. Most people in the southern and eastern areas of Afghanistan support or symphathize with Taliban.
