This is the main reason whereas to why there are the same words found in both languages. Unless there is clear evidence that one language borrowed from the other, we can't make outlandish claims.

Urdu and pashto will also have words common to both languages and again the reason is that they both belong to Indo-Iranian group of languages which are part of Indo-European language group.

Only experts on linguistics can know the origins of words based on real evidence.
This is what i mentioned in an other thread on Language purification. I am glad there are people who understand this.

So stop pointing fingers at us. Taso ba oss pukhto ezda karey wee au tajrubey ba kawai but we have a long history wrora!
lol I belong to Pakistan, and I am from an area that had its official Pashto only. This was the only state in the world which official language was Pashto. But again, let's try to purify our language and I think there is nothing wrong in trying.

Well the language of our elders was never like this. Today's pashto is much more changed. And the process of this change is so rapid and quick that i am afraid we will loose our language soon.

Either you are ignorant enough of pashto literature that you havent read any piece of Khushal baba or Rehman Baba poetry or you just love to dream like Zanawar (shamlawar). If your eye sight is good enough and you can see my signature which is a verse of Khushal Baba, you would find three to four words in each line that arent pashto words like rakhnagar, hargiz mulk n shafaat. So how can you say their pashto was purified to that extent which you dream about? Did he was too a punjabi che neem pa neema ye urdu leekala? Those who are talking and dreaming about the so called purification of the language are those who used to speak Dari at the time when our elders were writing in pashto. You are a misguided person who think that pashto is such a rich language which doesnt need words from other sister languages which is just your wrong thinking.

They dont have the courage all they can do is to write in roman and if they tried to write it in their so called pure pashto then only they would understand it.

This is the same typical sentence used by us people when we try to let down others. Brothers my intention was not to degrade the article. It was just a piece of advice. Why we Pashtuns don't accept that we have mistakes in ourselves ? Why we consider ourselves as some perfect. Why we consider our writings or our actions as some perfect ?
We will be on the way of progress the day we started thinking about our mistakes and tried to rectify them rather than rejecting and denying others' positive criticism. Please come out of this childish behavior.

Secondly I am not a writer I am may be a reader. My writing has no value in Pashto literature.

Brother, having interest with literature you don't have to be aggressive. Educated people always accept positive criticism and try to rectify themselves rather starting speaking this way.
                      Please don't take it personal.
                      Thanks...
