Seafood: halal or haram?

Assalaamu walaikom everyone!
So I was just having a talk with a super cool PF member about whether seafood is halal or haram. We are wondering.

Which ones are, which ones aren't? We always hear pork is haram, but that's it. So I am curious.

This issue is covered in Understanding Islam better thread. I've brovided an authentic hadith which is used in Islamic jurisprudence regarding sea food.

All creatures that live in the sea are halal. Only exceptions are creatures that do not live in sea but are able to swim. Like some snakes that live on earth but occasionally do swim to cross the water.

Aside from that, all sea creatures are halal, including sea lions.

Yes, and not just in french but also in Spanish. Sangre means blood.

But Sangar is an old persian word is derived from the word sang wich means stone and a sangar is a place made out of stones as a bastion for warriors or a place from which warriors launch attacks against their enemies.

So we had a mehmani at our house a couple weeks ago and I was handing out plates to the men, aw da yow cha plar (na wayam), said "da maayan ba wokhrum, da kho halal di" (meaning the other meat might not be halaal but the fish is naturally halaal) and then someone else says "magar maayan ke ghlaa kari wah no nadi halaal" LMAO!
