Seafood: halal or haram?

So we had a mehmani at our house a couple weeks ago and I was handing out plates to the men, aw da yow cha plar (na wayam), said "da maayan ba wokhrum, da kho halal di" (meaning the other meat might not be halaal but the fish is naturally halaal) and then someone else says "magar maayan ke ghlaa kari wah no nadi halaal" LMAO!

This is sushi...its pieces of raw fish and veggies, wrapped in rice and seaweed wrap. Its Japanese. It sounds gross but its THE BESTTTTT. OMG i love love love it.
