emkhan!!! desi ghwarri has an aweful smell!!! especially parathay made with ghwarri/ghee stink the whole house up, and have a distinct taste too. i guess i don't smell/taste it so raw when it's added to restaurant food but otherwise, smelly.

Yes some people have problem with its smell. my own brother can not even taste it just because of its smell ... but if the desi ghwarri is pure then the smell is almost nill but people make adulteration in it thats why its smell goes bad. but i love it and milk.

emkhan, most of the photos i don't recognise but the green with the more spikey, shapely leaf, looks like a plant that i know as 'rocket'. has a peppery strong taste and odour. very similar, anyway. i usually try new greens that i don't know, when i find them in chinese or foreign shops. looooove my greens.

ghwarri der der achawa (khorak ke) che lag ghwakha wakhlay, pukhtun wach klak kha na khkaari, lag dhroon dhroon sha. shalkay ba darta DHL kam, ghwarro ke pokh ka.

i have posted the pictures so you can clearly recognize if it exists in your country... you can find it in rainy areas...
secondly it has no odour but its taste is sour and when you pluck it it gives jell type liguid and its root is red like meat.

hahahah no no i dont eat that much... even at house my mom and aunt scolds me why do i eat less.
aw domra wach hom na ym... kho hagha ghata khetta me nishta.

Faye, that very picture seems to be diseased thats why its different from others.
I mean the leaves are small and its colour is also different...
normally its leaves are big like the other photos.

ok. it is exactly the shape of rocket, which i like, but only use in salads.
