i was going to ask you how i can unselect the iphone from updating every time i plug it in to my laptop in your visitor's page but can you tell me here so if i forget in future, i can come to this thread and figure it out instead of harassing you again?
No worries and I'm glad it worked for you, if you are buying like iPhone cords and headphones i recommend get them from source..Im assuming you're in canada..they have this lifetime warranty on these kind of things where they just charge you extra 2-3 bucks and they replace it for free for upto two years i think..they don't care how you broke it.

If you're trying to stop the phone from updating songs, connect it and just click on phone name that pops up when you connect it.. then goto where it says song and uncheck sync, like in the pic below.

If you want to prevent iPhone from updating to new version every time you plug it in, just goto preferences and disable check for automatic updates pic II.
