People using iPhone 4s beware

Make sure you guys check which of your apps have permission to broadcast your location, especially apps like twitter and such..Iphone allows people to track where you are by triangulation of wherever you make tweets/updates-on-social-network from

especially if you got teenagers in the house using these phones, make sure u let em know..all sorts of weird people out there

^ as long as the app doesn't have permission to your location you would be fine..I was talking with one of my friends, and he just showed me the people who were tweeting using the iPhone near him ( profiles and everything ) and as they moved the location changed and you could tell where they had been...it was very disturbing to say the least

it is concerning, not just for children but for people who are not really aware of what technology can do... For example, some older family members where getting excited that they were all on facebook now, and checking into this person house and that persons house, they didnt realise this pinpoints the actual adress of the person, any sick freak can find them... i quickly taught them that lesson LOL....

I do not allow any apps to track my location, apart from if I am using the GPS, i quickly allow it then turn it off..

i found this to not only be a problem with the iphone 4s, but also with any of the iphones updated to ios5... I can speak for both as I was previously using an iphone 3gs which was updated and have had the iphone 4s for two weeks now...

i am having an issue with my phone. i plug it in for charge but it keeps buzzing on and off as if you just plugged it in for charge. i threw away my old chord and am using another one but it's still doing the same thing. what is going on??

Does the phone charge ? ..Could be a couple of things;

If the phone is unlocked and you have installed SBSettings they could be messing it up

The connector where you plug-in could be very dirty, take a Q-tip and give it a good rubbing especially if you got like ethanol or something

If you've dropped it recently it could be that one of the connectors came off in which case

i hadn't dropped it and the spot that you said needed cleaning was also clean. i couldn't get a q tip in there but i wrapped a toothpick with some tissue and cleaned the spot anyways. i threw away all my chords and bought new ones. seems like they were damaged which is funny because they were brand new. it would have damaged the battery otherwise but now it's alright. thanks.
i was going to ask you how i can unselect the iphone from updating every time i plug it in to my laptop in your visitor's page but can you tell me here so if i forget in future, i can come to this thread and figure it out instead of harassing you again?
