read some of the words from native americans and other pagans. they already knew that this wonderful creation is a wonderful creation and we are physically created from it.
I feel somewhat sympathetic towards your standpoint faye; Selfless love for things is also what contributes towards our humanity. Everything should not be judged in terms of cost and benefit. Still I feel a bit more inclined towards science and rationality because that gives us higher consciousness.

The thing you forget is this difference you create between Native peoples and science is a False Dichotomy. The works of these Native People were the foundations of Modern science today and we see that now. The Scientists are the inheritors of the knowledge of the ancients, they just expanded the ideas the Ancients knew of. The Natives got their knowledge by testing and experimenting with nature and that's what they handed down to scientists. science is everywhere. Whether you like it or not.

That is the thing, how do we know?

Anyway, I do not see immortality in the next 200 years, forget about 20.

              Yes.

I do not wish to be immortal and don't want any human to be.

sorry toramana, but you don't have proof that consciousness of modern man is higher than humanity of the past. How is it a higher consciousness that humanity is crapping in it's own nest? That humans want to do so many dumb and idiotic things to themselves and each other and the planet.
Where is the proof of this higher consciousness?

We'll all be immortal, maybe the stuff in the Qur'an is just predicting that humans will advance to a point where we are elevated beyond our material realm through science and that place we reach is what the true Jannah will be.

                    God Knows best.

                          Recycling is evident, not reincarnation.
