This is an ideal condition bro. If I live in the great Kandahar or Jalal Abad then no need to learn dari just for job but If I live in Kabul or Islamabad or London or New york or Madrid then I have to learn languages of these cities for job.Originally posted by KandaharyI have no reason to learn or speak dari.
I am from a province where Pashto and only Pashto gets the job done.
But job may not be the only reason to learn a language. It can be a fun and increases your communication with the world community.
I was thinking that if I know only English then I can survive any where in the world but it was a great surprise for me when I had to go some countries where I was dumb and deaf without the languages of those conutries.
But the beloved pashto must always be in our mind , heart and soul. This is our identity , this is our love. All others may be need, passion or fashion but Pashto for a Pashtun is the matter of life and death.
And in Pakistan too in Pashtun areas like Peshawar or Quetta we may create Kandahar or Jalal Abad like situations where only and only Pashto must be the only prerequisite for getting a job while other languages may be learnt as a hobby or improving your CV.

My my my, you really are naive! I was more referring at the fact how Pukhtoons count in Urdu instead of Pukhto and I had said this before that this Pekhawri guy lectured me that we Afghans should stop mixing Pukhto with Dari, but he started to count in Urdu himself. You can deny all you want but I can't remember I ever heard any Pukhtoon in Pekhawar count in FULL Pukhto?Originally posted by jodigul View PostWho has told you such a big lie? always remember that Every educated or illitrate pakhtun in pakhtunkhwa can count in pashto.
Is it? Is that the reason why in Karachi, despite of having seven million (or over) Pukhtoons, Pukhtoons still prefer speaking in Urdu? Is that the reason why they take pride in being in Pukhtoon but are ashamed of speaking their own language? In Afghanistan Pukhtoons at least understand Pukhto if not speak it and I have been to four non-Pukhtoon areas in Afghanistan and guess what? I didn't even have to use ONE word of Dari because from Tajiks to Hazaras to Uzbeks, all of them spoke in Pukhto with me. Except for some extreme Panjsheri a$$holes.Originally posted by jodigul View PostAnd believe me pashto at instance is more relatively more safe than in afghanistan.
LOL, what a lame excuse! And STILL you claim Pukhto in Pakistan is 'more safe'? :DOriginally posted by jodigul View PostPashtuns in pashtunkhwa can count in pashto but prefer to count in urdu as it is easier in case of high digits and calculations.

@OSHO
Are you a Pukhtoon yourself? If yes then do you mind stop typing in Dari? By the way, welcome.Gar Jahanum Sakhtam Ferdaws Ham Mesazamat

Iam concerned about how many Punjabis can Speak Pushto?Originally posted by jodigul View PostBut why?
Also iam very concerned about why Pakistan refuses to accept Pushto as the official language of the province and establish it into the educational system.
Also iam very concerned over why so many pakistanis oppose the name of Pashtunkhwa but prefer NWFP?

^ Hahahaha, I can't tell how much this post of yours made me laugh! Just like how Urdu is your National language, EXACTLY same-wise Dari is one of our National languages as well. In fact, did you know that Pukhto only became one of the National languages just few decades ago? And once again since you jumped to Forums, I ask you to show me which Forum is in Dari because as far as I know all Forums are in English? And I watch Afghan News channel every day and guess what? Our News is as well in Dari as in Pukhto! And you know next to Kandahar where else people don't even know what Dari sounds like? Paktia (with 10% of it's population being non-Pukhtoon), Khost, Helmand (with 8% of population being non-Pukhtoons), Paktika (with 5% of it's population being non-Pukhtoons), Zabul (with around 10% non-Pukhtoons) and these are just those to name. In Ghazni Pukhtoons make up 25% of it's population but yet entire province speaks and understands Pukhto. Don't compare status of Pukhto in Afghanistan with Pakistan because we know very well compared to Pakistani Pukhtoons how to hold on on our language and Pukhto schools in Kabul are rising every year. Stop talking crap will ya?
Oh, and about 30% of Kandahari population is non-Pukhtoon but yet everyone speaks Pukhto there, surprise surprise! And not to forget, both my grandma's are, as you call it, Farsiwanan who speak Pukhto. Now go and look around in your Pakhtunkhwa.

^ Hahahahaha, Pukhto banned in Kabul? Hahahahaha! Dude, I just returned from Kabul and throughout my stay I have been communicating in Pukhto there! Karzai speaks Dari because that's what majority speaks there, how intelligent are YOU? And even though you have double speakers of us, yet your Pukhto is being Urdufied and seven millions Pukhtoons in Karachi who don't do a sh*t for Pukhto? Yeah right! And about source for Pukhto schools, here you go;
This is an old article but I know from my relatives there work is going on for Pukhto schools. And funny how you say on one hand that you helped us Pukhtoons stay in power but on other hand claim that us despite being in power let our own language be banned in our own capital, LOL. Mate, you need some rest.

^ Kabul city got 25% Pukhtoon population, five schools back with nine other 'shared' schools, which makes up 14 Pukhto schools in 2007 and now, in 2010, work is kicking off. You can't expect articles about every single school in Kabul to be published. Now since I feel laughing a bit as well; May I know how many Pukhto schools there are in Karachi and could you please post me the link where it states that Pukhto is/was (?) banned in Kabul?
