Oh and If you are rich, money is meant to be spent. :-)
I learned Photoshop at the age of 14. I took some courses at that age. Yes, I was the youngest student in class. Well, depending on your personality, you can self-teach yourself. However, I can imagine you being confused with layers.
no money isn't a problem, i just don"t like school, even though I can be, and have proved to be an honors student.

Where you attend these classes? Am interested in learning Photoshop and 3DS Max, since it's pretty confusing to teach yourself.

Okay, so that means you are rich. Try to get good grades, and major in something you like. You seem very intelligent and I am sure you can be very beneficial for our people.

If I am not busy in the summer, I don't mind teaching you how to us Photoshop. We can arrange a few meet ups. Many local colleges offer courses, but they have hefty price tags. I'm not so sure about Long Island, but Manhattan is full of little stores that will assist in becoming a Photoshop expert.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

^^i wish I was rich so my pops don't have to be a linguist. I hope to go to Afg/Pak in the summer!! It'll be my first visit.

Does knowing how to draw with pencil and pad help you with Photoshop. like what are the reasons why Photoshop is popular? I know it's a stupid question but I really don't know.

I recommend face to face interactions.

Although it's a very lucrative field, I must warn members that if you don't like solving problems, refrain from pursuing a BS! Choose what you like. Also, many assume being a CS major equates to being a code-monkey, that is not true at all. CS and Mechanical Engineering, In my humble opinion, are probably the most diverse majors in the world. Employers love CS majors because they know you can solve problems.
In my humble opinion, I think minors are mostly about marketability. So deciding on whether to take one up, for me, was a question of Does it make me more Marketable and is it significant enough to make the additional time worth it.

I agree, extremely diverse major, you can pretty much find a place for yourself across the board that caters to some business need.

Your a woman. That means a lot in the CS department. In fact, I know special grants and scholarships that are reserved exclusively for ladies such as yourself. They specifically state "This scholarship is only for ladies who wish to major in CS". So you do have the upper hand in this male dominated discipline.
Being a women means a lot of everywhere if you're willing to use it to gain an upper hand lol (jk). I have the upper hand in that I fill a void in the industry, this is especially good for employers that have to fill some quota of diverse work environment. Socially, not so much. Many of the the peers are either threatened or amazed-- both sentiments make you feel like an outsider. Luckily I'm not looking to socialize.

I joined SWE (Society Of Women Engineers) and was an active member for 4 semesters/2 years. I found it odd that each meeting consisted of a bunch of young ladies talking about how hard it was to be a young lady in their respective areas. Scholarships and grants were rarely discussed and generally passed off as impossible to attain. I remember the president said they expect you to be their trophy girl upon accepting.

I somewhat disagree, I did my own research and discovered many opportunities.

Ultimately, being a women in CS or Engineering isn't any more difficult and doesn't require any special treatment. Not that I'm complaining

That's a given. But job satisfaction takes second priority. That is- second to finding a job because if you don't have a job, you're generally miserable.

                BS.

I've come across a lot of Afghans that'll steer you away from CS with stories of how they were in the program and nothing came of it.

In Dari, there's a saying (I don't know if we have it in pashto as well), but it goes "dastem ba aloo namayrasa, aloo tursh ast" (I cannot reach the plum. The plum is sour). It's a state in which people are unable to accomplish something due to their own shortcoming so they project, and make that thing which they were trying to accomplish something negative to save face so to speak.
