I've been getting too many of them lately, the meds don't help neither do the doctors..These headaches are becoming really intense, especially as they move later on in to the day

Anyone know anything useful as to how to deal with them other than what the doctors normally tell you or stuff from google..cuz none of that helped me out

I used to get them very often when I was younger but now that they are fewer they are a lot more intense than before. I haven't really found anything helpful so I take three of what I am recommended to take which makes me sleep. When I wake up the next morning pain is gone.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

I have horrible headaches sometimes, and they feel like migraines, but I doubt they are since I've always felt better after taking an Excedrin Migraine. That usually makes everything better in about 20-30 minutes.
"Do not lose hope in adversity and complain that God singled you out for punishment, remitting others guilty of worse sins. Your present state could very well be His intent to elevate your spiritual station. Or He could just be testing your faith. Everyday that you persevere, you grow closer to perfection. Thus, your present despair may be the beginning of an infinite blessing". - Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani.

oh my God... i don't know if anyone else in this world has suffered from this like i have. i have the whole 9 yards as far as the symptoms go...

i get blury vision first, then i get nausea and then i get sever headach and after a few hours i throw up...

when i get blurry vision i can't see... it can happen to me when i am driving, working, sleeping, eating, outside, inside, anywhere!... then i just stop everything like a paralyzed person and just go to my bed. i try to close my eyes and make sure i turn off all the lights and sounds and draw curtains... light and sound make me want to go hit my head to the wall... i also suffer from short term memory loss until it is over...

I have not been able to find any cure for this. the only thing i know is that for me its stomach induced... i get it if the acidity level of my stomach goes up... i usually take stomach pill but sometimes that doesn't work either...

i have suffered from this since i was 9 years old...

oh the headache... its really severe... i feel like my veins in my head and sorounding areas are going to burst... as if even if someone hits my head with an axe i won't feel anymore pain. oh the headaches and the nausea!

i think i am just about to cry...

I got a migraine once and never again.
I was paralyzed for four days.. Couldn't move, couldn't move my eyes, it was a horrible horrible pain that kept me from concentrating on anything. I eventually had to drop classes because of that.

I also get very horrible headaches from my iron deficiency/anemia. They are like migraines, you feel like the veins in your head are going to pop and you become very, very sensitive to movement. But that can be treated more easily than migraines, shukr.

I have had something similar to this. I hadn't had them in a very long time, and thought they were something of the past, until the end of August, during Ramadan. I was on a trip, but on my way home. I was walking on the beach with my child, and up by the cliffs I saw a path with a bench, and wanted to tell her about it, but my brain and my voice couldn't connect. It was very odd. Finally I was able to say; "Something scary is happening to me." But then I couldn't speak again, so I just stopped trying. My child got worried because I would start to speak, and then stop. By the time we got to the car it was better. But after I started driving then came the spots, the blurry vision, the confusion. It wasn't good, because I was not alone in the car. I knew I needed to make it to the hotel.

I started repeating "B-ismi-llahi- r-rahmani-r-rahimi" over and over again. I made it to the hotel, without having an accident, and checked in, went to the room and collapsed on the bed and slept many hours.

When I awoke the next morning I was OK. But at the same time in the afternoon it happened again. Then I went to a hospital. The doctor said I had classic Migraine symtoms and said if the headache is not so severe I should just take Tylenol but if it is severe then he gave me a prescription for Sumatriptan or Imitrex. I did have one more episode a few days later, after getting home.

Last week my doctor arranged for me to have an MRI, which was very strange. I have not yet seen the results.

I think one of the triggers for me was stress related, and lack of sleep. My Islamic teacher said that dehydration from Ramadan could have caused it, and she said I should not fast while on a trip. It was the first time during Ramadan that I experienced any difficulties.

^ The MRI is for when the medication is not responding and to make sure you don't have a brain tumor. Do you smell weird odors or have any visions before you get the headaches?

Thanks all for suggestions but I've already done all that, can't take sleep pills cuz I need to be up early in the morning ..The only symptom I have other than what you lot mentioned are nose bleeds

To whoever has them I hope you guys get better, living with these things is a nightmare..I guess I was looking for some good ol back home remedies..nothing I've tried works, once it starts no matter how much stuff I take it doesn't go away till the next day sometimes even beyond that

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Migrane is a type of headache. It is a change in the brain and the surrounding blood vessels in the brain. This type of headache is a lot for an individual to handle. It can be slight and it can become very severe. Your symptoms will include: voimiting; massive, pounding headache; sensitivity to light and sound, and nausea.

If your migranes are continuous....dont ignore it. Please, see your doctor, and let him/her know. Migranes are not simply like a normal headache you get here and there. You need to get medications to prevent these symptoms, stopping the headaches. Migranes are more painful than regular headaches.

i mean there are many causes of patients that have migranes that are sent to the ER...so dude dont just ignore it if you notice you get it a lot, for a long period of time, or if simple Motrin or Tylenol dont work.

Usually, a regular migrane, you can take Excedrine for it, but it does vary in individuals. Especially if you have noticed you get Migranes a lot and its to the point it disturbs your daily life activities.

While i was working a few weeks ago, a girl about the age of 22 had a Migrane so severe, it hurt for her to hear a simple thing or even see light. Her physician sent her to the emergency room
