Well, i prefer doing a sport like Kickboxing, or workout at home doing push ups, squats, jogging and a bit of weights on the side, but not full on gym work. I used to be very buff a few years back, and was the biggest gym junkie. But when i go to the gym now, i begin to yawn after a few sets of weights and leave.lolOriginally posted by JasmineDidnt you say you work out a lot ?

ya, my gym is open 24 hours. i must admit its been tough so far, i do fairly high intensity training so being nutritionally depleted has made it difficult. i might have to modify my routine a bit to cope with the lower energy levels.Originally posted by BLS_1919v2.0 View PostI assume you go to those 24 hr ones, because the gym I go to is the University one. Anyways I go to workout for the mental factor as well. I have considered going an hour and half before ifthar. That gives me ample time to reach home, drink my shake, and prep a late meal (ease into studies).

Ye I changed my workout a little during this month. I have gone a little lighter than before, and have not gone to Muay thai (it is too intense and I need that drink of water or gatorade in between). However, Ramadhan I am switching my workout and diet and going to focus more on core strength.Originally posted by 786 View Postya, my gym is open 24 hours. i must admit its been tough so far, i do fairly high intensity training so being nutritionally depleted has made it difficult. i might have to modify my routine a bit to cope with the lower energy levels.

Jamaludeen wror is right. In kickboxing, Muay thai and or MMA, doing basic technique drills are not a problem. However, the real cardio kicks in when your sparring, doing pad work or plyometric exercises (and core strength exercises)...those take a toll on the body and you need the gatorade or water. Without you might as well collapse or not train. I know of a few who can pull it off, but for me personally it is too hard.Originally posted by shlombayI heard Ramadan cleans up your system.
