Its still a new discovery since it wasnt known about that gland. But since the prostate in men is particularly production of semen. Why would they name 'that' gland in women as 'prostate?'

Yeah i actually knew about our prostate, my anatomy book is new

but i am still confuzzled by it

Yes, men can get breast cancer. But women have a tremendous higher risk of breast cancer. I dont think i have heard of a man treated for breast cancer. My parents have never had a male patient with breast cancer too.

Now, since our prostate gland has been discovered in us females. Can we get prostate cancer? ummm i dunno. But i dont think so. Since our prostate gland is not the same as the males. But hey, science is new everyday, so new discoveries are made, you may never know :D

I remember, the first male Breast Cancer I saw was the patient they gave me for my Final year Surgery Viva !!!!

It was a good thing I know what he had, even though it is rare in men.

The Female prostate is rudimentary, whereas the male is a strong fibrous organ involved in ejaculation, so, the chances of a woman getting a prostate cancer should be less then <0.005 % at least

MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I hope to know more than one male with breast cancer as i am going through this long route =) Wait not that its fun to meet someone with cancer, no not at all. But since its not really seen in males, i just wanna see it with my own eyes.

Well since men have breast, they obviously have breast tissue. So they can get cancer cells to grow, invade, and spread through out the tissue. But men normally do not have much or noticeable breast tissue, unless they are diagnosed with a breast disorder. But breast cancer in males are far less than females.

Nazia khoray its possible since we have breasts but its more likely as men get older and the testosterone hormone decreases. So the female hormone Oestrogen increases and increases the liklihood of getting this cancer.
