May I ask something ? To me it seems like some Baloch tribes are related to Pashtuns, or am I wrong ? I met already several Barakzei and Nurzei Baloch - is this occasion, or are they related ?

Hey welcome back brother, and yes you are correct. A whopping 44% of Baloch tribes are actually Pashtun in origin.

        Thank You a lot !
        How are You brother ?
Visiting Zabol I wondered because I met several people with such last names, but asking them if they were Pashtuns, they told, that they are Baloch. To have deeper discussion my Persian wasn't enough that time.
It is intresting, because also physically Balochi vary a lot. Some are almost like me, others are like Tamils, other even like east Africans.

Really? i had no idea there were Balochis in Zabul, i thought they were mostly in Nimroz and southern Helmand. How was your visit btw? hope you brought a souvenir back with you! And the Baloch people are heterogeneous meaning, they are not all the same. There was one baloch guy from Oman who looked african and claimed he was a Baloch, even his last name was Al-Baluchi.

I posted an article a while back on how their culture works, and according to them, anybody that moves into the Baloch area and marries a baloch woman, can become a baloch.

Yes brother, sorry. It is because I was in Zabol, not Zabul. Zabol is a city in Iran close to Nimruz province. To Afghanistan I still didn't travel, although would have been nice, as It was so close, but I was working, and went there just for a long weekend from Tehran.
Exactly I saw also these African looking Balochis in Chabahar. Quite nice guys usually.
In Oman and Turkmenistan there are the two bigger external Balochi communities.
The Turkmen Balochi look however not so different from Persians or Kurds for example.
I was in Zabol just one day, to see some nature and historical places. But while travelling i met several Nurzeis or Nurzehis (seems like they pronounce it in several manners) and two Barakzeis.
So I really wondered. The clothing styl in Zabol is also closer to te Pashtun style. While southern Balochis have a very distinct clothing style (wider and more colourfull clothes and a different lungi wrapping style)

Ahh ok i see, i know there is a Zabol in Iran as well. The Barakzais and Nurzeis in those areas are no doubt Pashtun since these are historically Pashtun tribes. Yup, Baloch culture is very similar to Pashtun culture, espicially the clothing, even the Baluch themselves will tell you this. I do think its since they are closer to each other, and that the Baluch are heavily affected by Pashtun culture.

Also here is the thread i was talking about, you might be intersted.

A space dedicated to conferring the happenings that make up the history of the Pashtun population and how contemporary and previous generations yield justifications and solutions for them.

Pakistan "independence" day and the suffering of Baloch

The Baloch have had to endure another Pakistan "independence" day whilst their suffering at the hands of the American-backed Pakistan army continues.

Baloch in Germany protesting against the American-backed Pakistan army's massacres in Awaran.

                Afghan-Baloch protest against Pakistani terrorism.

The struggle for freedom is taking place even in Germany.

Our prayers are with our Muslim brothers in Balochistan against the American-backed Pakistan army.

Oh Allah please help our Muslim brothers and sisters in Balochistan to free themselves from the brutal, evil and wicked traitor Pakistan army.

                Ameen, thumma ameen.

                  UPDATE:

                  - Major surrender of several hundred Baloch militants recently.

                  - "Allah" Nazar Baloch, a Balochi rebel leader killed.

                  - Baloch rebel leader Brahamdagh Bugti has spoken of willingness to renounce independence.

                  Brahamdagh Bugti.

Many observers are speculating that the Baloch insurgency may be on its final leg.

However I spoke to someone (ex-Pakistan military) who has some knowledge of this issue and he said he doesn't think the conflict in Balochistan will end as there are "too many parties" involved.

                  We will wait and see.

By the way that Pakistani-Baloch source I mentioned above is also the same person who told me that the Baloch insurgency was thriving a while back, since then we have seen surrenders, the killing of a major rebel leader and reconciliatory talk from Brahamdagh Bugti.

So I don't know how accurate his analysis is.

Thanks for quoting me, but (un)fortunately you're on my ignore list. Better not to reply to you and your fellow "degah" Punjabi/Pakistani nationalists who deliberately drag the forum quality down with swearing, abusive behaviour and nonsense.

I actually didn't know that this troll "Pakwatan" (Razpak a.k.a Shamain) had actually said this and insulted my mother.

Later this same guy will then talk about Islam and Muslim this and that with the same disgusting mouth he uses to insult people's mothers.

Anyway we can't expect much more from a defence.pk troll.

This is just typical defence.pk type behaviour.

The same website where the no.2 of the forum said Saudi Arabia should conquer and annex Yemen, a nation of over 20 million people!

                            LOL...

                            ROFL!

Defence.pk no.2 calls for Saudi to conquer and annex Yemen.

RazPak a.k.a PakWatan is now back insulting people and their mothers under a new ID, "ANAcommander", due to his Punjabi inferiority complex he pretends to be a member of the Afghan army (ANA).

Balochistan: Women and Children Abducted by Pakistan’s Army

Pakistan’s violence towards the Baloch community has restarted; this week 13 women, along with approximately 28 children, have been abducted by members of the Pakistani army in Bolan Balochistan. The whereabouts of these women and their children remain unknown.

QUETTA: A spokesperson of a pro-freedom Baloch resistance organization on Thursday said that Pakistan army had abducted several women along with their children in past two weeks against Baloch civilian population in Bolan Balochistan.

Talking to NNI on Thursday Mr Meerak Baloch, a spokesperson of the Baloch Liberation Army, said that these women along with their children have been abducted from different areas of Bolan including Lakkad, Gowazo,Pulkaddi, Sanjawal and Sohr Kumb. The whereabouts of these women and children remain unknown so far.

The BLA spokesperson issued a list of abducted Baloch women to media which is as follows:

Dur Bibi wife of Washo Chalgari

Marri Gull Pari wife of Dilwash Marri abducted along with 4 daughters

Bakht Bibi wife of Dilwash Marri abducted along with her son and 3 daughters

Bibi Durbakht wife of Rahmdil Marri abducted along with 4 daughters

Bibi Zarmedo wife of Gazzo Marri Hata Bibi wife of Ali Marri abducted along with 2 sons and 2 daughters

Bibi Waeri wife of Ali Marri

Gull Bibi wife of Tangov Marri abducted along with 2 kids

Jaan Bibi wife of Lala Mohammad

Marri Bibi Hani wife of Ali Bakhsh Marri abducted along with 1 daughter

Bibi Noorbano wife of Mullah Nazar Mohammad abducted along with 2 children

He added, “Bibi Sahto, 80 year old mother of Washo Marri, has been tortured to death by Pakistan military in their custody.”

He said Pakistani forces have increased their genocidal policies in Balochistan and they are violating all international laws by abducting, torturing and killing non-combat Baloch civilians especially women and children. “Pakistani forces have also killed livestock and destroyed crops of poor Baloch peasants in above mentioned regions,” said Meerak Baloch.

The spokesperson of BLA said that Pakistani state atrocities and genocidal policies have made the line of freedom between Baloch and Pakistan clearer.

He said, “The abduction of Baloch civilian especially women and children by Pakistani security forces is compelling BLA to adopt a similar policy. Those who collaborate with the enemy and become obstacles in way of freedom struggle will be considered enemy of Baloch nation.”

Meerak Baloch in his statement urged the Baloch nation to spend their abilities and energy for freedom of Balochistan and hold the enemy [Pakistan] accountable for its crimes against Baloch people.

The world is turning a blind eye to the suffering of innocent Baloch at the hands of American-supported Pakistani soldiers.
