NDS detain 30 terrorists involved in recent Kabul attacks

By KHAAMA PRESS - Mon Aug 31 2015, 2:49 pm

    National-Directorate-of-Security

The National Directorate of security (NDS) – Afghanistan’s intelligence agency has detained 30 key members of Haqqani terrorist network and Peshawar Shura of Taliban during special operations.
A statement issued by NDS on Monday states that these terrorists were involved in recent deadly attacks in Kabul. These attacks left hundreds of people killed and wounded. Two of these attacks were carried out in Shah Shaheed and Fourth Macroryan areas and the two others were carried out on Hamid Karzai International Airport and Parliament House.

The statement further states that these people were planning more attacks in Kabul but NDS personnel detained them before they could implement their intentions.

The detained terrorists include Qari Janan the Peshwar Shura designated governor of Kabul’s Deh Sabz District and some his companions.
They also include some commanders from Haqqani terrorist network identified as Israr Ahmad, Malik and Mustafa who implemented one attack on Hamid Karzai International Airport and two others in Shah Shaheed and Fourth Macroryan areas.

According to NDS statement these terrorists were working on carrying out 13 more attacks in Kabul to target the Presidential Palace, NDS compound in Shash Darak area, Ministry of Defense, U.S. Embassy, police headquarters, Parliament House and Khatam-un-Nabiyeen University.
The Press Release further states that last week NDS seized 13 tons of explosive materials in two trucks in Paktika province. According to the statement these trucks were made ready to cross into central provinces for explosions.

Major Taliban Base Destroyed In Logar

The Afghan security forces have destroyed a major insurgent base in southeastern Logar province during a military operation, officials said Thursday adding that the base had been active for nine years.

The camp, located in Zarghon Shahr village in Mohammad Agha district in Logar, was used to train militants – who were then sent from there to carry out subversive activities in Logar, Kabul and other parts of the country.

Officials said the base even had bunkers, which insurgents used as safe zones.

In response to a question on why the base had not been destroyed in nine years, Logar governor Halim Fedaee said former officials in his post did not take action in this regard and that they should answer to this.

"According to our information, 28 attacks have been plotted from the hub on Kabul," Halim said.

TOLOnews reporter, Karim Amini, who is in Logar, said this is thought to have been the biggest insurgent camp in the southeastern part of the country.

According to him, the Taliban militants have also continued to oppress the residents of Zarghon Shahr village in this time.

Villagers report that at least 100 families have been evicted from their homes over the years, while local police have also come under attack and many have had their homes torched.

It is believed that the destruction of the camp will reduce security threats in Logar and in Kabul.

The governor said: "The reason why the base has not been targeted during past years, should be asked from former leadership of the province."

Amini said that as per his evaluation it seems that Zarghon Shahr residents had a difficult life in the shadow of the Taliban over the past nine years.

"We were in peace in first three years of Karzai government but later we witnessed only insecurity and discomfort. Our children and women were not able to get out of the house," a resident of the village told TOLOnews.

The village is now cleared of Taliban, said officials. The Zarghon Shahr residents urged the government to take full control of the area and to erect Afghanistan's tricolor flag.

The ANA are mostly low life drug addicts and the commanders are child rapers. They have no Morale to fight. Kunduz was taken back by American forces.

well, at least they are trying. you know something is not right when you hide your ass in a cave and force people to blow themselves in order to bring peace. right and wrong can easily be determined by the means through which you go on about achieving them. manipulation and deception are not the ways to go about preaching truth.

would you be hired for a job in a proper society if you didn't go about combing your hair, getting proper hair cuts (at least) every three months?? show me a talib that displays the appearance of an individual who takes a shower at least once in a month..
why would you want to put your country or life at stake for the ideology of someone who doesn't even put an effort towards taking a shower once a month?? how will these people bring progress to the nation economically?? how will they represent us globally??

i don't care for any of them. my faith lays in a very narrowed population of afghanistan, not it's politicians or their recycled morals. ghani is no different to me than mullah mansoor.

in my personal opinion, wearing a burqa to support women's right is repressive. if you want to make a statement like that, you should wear something in which women can be dignified. maybe appropriate clothing that women should be wearing that is modest but not degrading.
however, i am aware of the possibility that they may have chosen to wear the burqa because it represents the appareal of the majority of afghan women who are in need of being recognized as human beings and individuals rather than faceless entities with no identities.

this is a bad example of social activism but placing it in comparison to men who dress up to commit acts of terrorism, it wins. it wins so so much.

I dont think you got the message. I thought you were deep, but you have failed again.
The men are giving the message to other men how they would like it to be wearing a burqa.

What kind of a message would they be sending if they wore modest womens clothing.

But the real blame for the destruction of women lib goes to your beloved commies who tried to bring the culture of prostitution and alcoholism to the conservative rurals who did not want it.
cI have told you this before but you dont get it just like you did not get the message of that article.

you are the one who thought it and you are the one who realized that you were wrong. therefore, you are the one who has failed, not me. my parents never discussed politics with us, i am not a commie or a commie supporter. that is the excuse you and your friend barikzai likes to use when you have nothing else to cover your asses with.

also, the definition of social activism is not a drag costume party. if you are getting other ideas from reading that article, that is entirely on you. don't go around, projecting your fantasies on the rest of us.

Youre an idiot. You did not get the message of the article. You responded with men should wear modest womens clothing to get the message of women lib out. That does not send the message.

you believe that social activism is a drag costume party. it's people like you who go bonkers and end up raping children when they see them in women's dresses because to you, no matter what a person claims to be doing while in a dress, it automatically means that they want to be women. and once they have stooped to that level, who are they to be denying you consent.

                            you people are messed up.

you don't automatically become a woman by wearing a dress. wearing a dress does not make a woman out of a man but it is a commendable and symbolic gesture that i can assure many like you are incapable of extending. you and many others like you will never be caught dead in a dress because it will make you less of a man in your own eyes of the eyes of your peers. however, you will not hesitate from claiming to respect your mothers and sisters.

once again, you people are messed up.

o, and in your version of reality, i would love to be "an idiot".

Why do you guys keep trying to argue with her? It's obvious that while males and females both have cognitive capabilities and can pull up rational arguments, that she is just filled with hate and probably has no friends at all. Instead of trying to fix herself, she just blames it on everyone else. Just ignore it for a better future Think solutions, don't feed the trolls.

She just can't understand that it's she who's messed up, not us. It's a shame that so many people die every day, and these kind of "gems" get to stick around.

Be the better person, khushal. Don't feed her or she'll never shut up with her hate.
