Should the Pakistani Army have put these Taliban's on a throne? First you people say you hate Pakistan for nurturing the Taliban, then when Pakistan tries to kill and stop the Taliban you people say torture. What is it? Make up your minds now.

Magority of pashtuns especially the elder ones have beards , now who decide if they are really talibans?

The slogan of pak army is "imaan jihad &taqwa" but in every leaked video they are seen shouting "bainchoad" at the bearded individuals?

Resorting to name calling and degenerative comments is indicative of a person who has subnormal intelligence. This to me on this forum is not suprising.

First things first. Torture and the abuse of prisoners are not only against the Geneva convention and the Pakistani constitution but also against the principles of international law as well as our own Islamic laws. Therefore, when you condone it and get some sort of pleasure out of it, it says a lot about you. Did you really expect that you could come here, post that and get welcomed with open arms? You came here looking for a confrontation and you got what you wanted so stop whining about name-calling.

If you condone prisoner abuse, there is something wrong with your upbringing. Either that or you're mentally unstable. Please conduct yourself with dignity and show some civility if you wish to interact with us here. Pashtuns are peaceful people who don't believe in torturing anyone, not even the worst of our enemies.

Hold on a second. What is that supposed to mean? That Pashtuns are stupid and your expectations have been fulfilled?

Jinnah's Army, you seem to have no or very little understanding of the issues facing Pashtuns especially with regards to militancy and the Taliban ideology.

When Pashtuns blame the Pakistani authorities (and the United States) for nurturing the Taliban ideology, they refer to the mid 1970s when Pakistan, with aid from the US, Israel and Saudi Arabia (the real axis of evil), began promoting 'Jihad' in Pashtunkhwa (FATA, NWFP). That is when Bachaa Khan told these people that they were doing something very dangerous but he was, as had been the Pakistani state policy, called a Socialist atheist RAW-agent and sidelined. That dangerous and murderous ideology was exported into Pashtun lands from abroad and its effects were felt at the GHQ and at several places in Lahore and Islamabad. That's why you don't play with fire because that same ideology lives today.

When the Soviets withdrew from Afghanistan, the same groups were sent to Kashmir. Others were mobilized to aid Mullah Omar. The rule of the Taliban, which got military, diplomatic and financial support from Pakistan, needs to introduction. Pashtuns are conservative but the Taliban ideology had been imported and imposed on them.

It was the same ideology that Pakistan's American masters had it impose in 1979 that nurtured the likes of Sufi Mohammad and Maulana Fazlullah (TSNM). It empowered them. So when they occupied Swat, ordinary Pashtuns resisted them (Afzal Khan Lala) but everyone knew where their ideology came from.

The misery of Pashtuns at the hands of the agencies didn't end here. In November 2001, Musharraf began importing the Taliban and Al-Qaeda into Waziristan and Quetta, fearing that an American attack was imminent. More than a thousand tribal leaders were systematically assassinated to make way for that. Any Wazir and Mehsud will tell you about the influx of Uzbeks and Arabs into their villages.

By the mid-2000s, the United States started pressurizing Pakistan to "do more". They chose to spare the more powerful Haqqanis and Hekmatyaars in North Waziristan and the Mullah Omar thugs in Quetta (all of whom are currently playing a major role in Afghan peace talks), and just to show their American masters that they're doing something, they bombed the hell out of South Waziristan. Mehsud refugees were also, as an additional present, barred from entering Punjab and Sindh, where the hateful Pakistani public burned down their camps and called for strikes and protests.

If the Pakistani army was genuinely concerned with finishing off terrorism, why were the rest of the high-profile murderers spared? It's simple and it doesn't take a genius to figure it all out. Terrorists within Pakistani territorial limits will play a major role in bringing Afghanistan under Pakistan's future sphere of influence so as to regain strategic depth and a friendly government in Kabul that would perhaps accept the Durrand Line.

These operations are a farce. Out of 10,000 Mehsud militants, barely 600 have been killed. And that also according to the Pakistani army's official sources! How can a hardcore Jihadi organization be defeated with just a 6% reduction in strength?

More than 8,000 civilians, on the other hand, have been killed.

So why should a Pashtun, knowing what had happened in 1979 and knowing how it was not stopped even after 1989, love Pakistan? How can he love Pakistan knowing that whilst hiding some militants, Pakistan is deliberately bombing mostly civilian areas in Bajaur, Orakzai, Khyber and Waziristan to fool the West that it's doing something? How can Pashtuns love Pakistan with the knowledge that their homes and livelihood were destroyed for the sake of dollars, most of which were pocketed by the federal elite? Almost every household has lost someone or the other.

Jinnah's Army, whoever you are, know that we Pashtuns are not a laawaris people. We have an ancient history and identity that is renowned in all the four corners of the earth. Our national self-identity is stronger than anything that can be imposed on us by indifferent foreigners, especially Hindustanis like yourself. We are not some minuscule nation that can be a small part of a Yugoslavia, USSR, Pakistan, India or any other confederation of nations with weak identities. Pashtuns are uneducated and fragmented but don't start feeling too secure and comfortable about that because those things can change.
"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be".

"Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives".

This post is by far the stupidest post I've ever read. Stop embarassing yourself.

The only self identity you have that is known worldwide is TERRORIST TALIBAN. Thats it. Nothing less, and nothing more.

Anywho, you can call me Hindustani all you want, but remember day in and day out you will be tasting the butt of my brother's rifle and licking my father's shoes who both by the way are in the Pakistani military.

Ta, Ta you dirt poor uneducated imbecile.
